Arrived after a long drive, tired and hungry, only to be greeted by the rudest doorman who would not help me look after my luggage while i parked the car. I was so incensed at this man's behavior I decided then and there I would not stay at this property. As a courtesy, I attempted to cancel the reservation on... More

The hotel has to be updated (and soon). No A/C (we were told to open the windows), a musty smell in the rooms (like where some grandmothers live.......sorry grandma) and the rooms were smaller than some in Europe. I agree with someone's observation that this place can be the "grande dame" of Tadoussac or simply a family hotel, but not... More

The staff there were very warm, it was and expensive hotel but it was really nice to be right beside the board walk and the lake, the breakfast was a buffet it was very nice, you had lots of choices, We did not have stay long enough in the room as we were out and about exploring the beautiful place,... The hotel is situated across the beautiful boardwalk overlooking a marine and water. The place is old and it seems that the owners feels that it's part of it's charm. Charming it's not. Rather it feels dated and in need of refreshment and remodeling. The room we stayed in (for 3) was very small, when the sofa is open there... More

Stay most of my life in Hotels, generally chain ones, but was disappointed with this one. Hotel is lovely location and Garden rooms surprisingly quiet, but the downside. Room felt like the heating was on, a very warm dry heat, even with the windows open it was difficult to cool down to a sensible temperature. It had not been a... More

The Tadoussac Hotel is not cheap. This being said, it's one of these classic old hotels you come across in Canada that you really should stay in once. The rooms are great, the games room keeps the kids (and adults) busy, and the whole feel of the place makes you feel like you've gone back in time. We stayed two... More

This is a stunning location and very relaxing but... it could do with a visit by the Hotel Inspector off UK TV. Once in the room ( and facing river is pretty essential) you have no idea about faculties- meals etc. We were told by reception one rate for breakfast and another by the strict Madame that guards the entrance.... Stayed for 2 nights at this hotel. Location is excellent if your room faces the river. Rooms are very old and need renovation. Breakfast is average. Prices are very high, overall this is not worth the money!

Oh the setting... The location of the Hotel Tadoussac is excellent, with the restaurant, the lounge and the lawn overlooking the bay. The hotel feels a bit old fashioned - and it is - but that kind of fits with the place. It's not a high end hotel - not anymore anyway - but still a nice and comfortable place... More

This may well be the best hotel in town, but...that's not necessarily a thumbs up. The location is excellent, the reception staff are first rate. However, it looks and feels like a throw back to the early 50's. This is a property in need of a major overhaul, from the studs outward, and possibly a management shakeup to get it... More
