As others has said - this hotel is impressive at first glance and it could so easily deliver yet it fails to do so. We stayed for 2 nights in mid May when there were very few guests/diners. Reception staff were pleasant and efficient (not busy). Our room and bathroom was in need of a makeover but clean with wonderful... More

we felt kind of ripped off- paid just over $300 for a very small and extremely dated room- everything was yellow or beige, old tv, old bathroom- i wouldn't have minded paying $150 for this hotel but $300 was absurd- we were desperate though as we rolled in to town quite late and couldn't find anything else so we had... Stayed at The Hotel Tadoussac because we wanted to make our trip to this beautiful part of Quebec extra special . . . Not so much! Expensive especially with Quebec taxes, This hotel is desperately waiting for room renovations. 2 double ( seriously!) beds that had mattresses like boards made for an uncomfortable night. Housekeeping issues - No closet doors... More

Front desk staff ( Laurie ) was very helpful and informative in making the booking over phone. Check In takes time as more guests. Rooms are smaller and bathroom is so basic., bath room needs maintenance and reminds rental apartments in Toronto. ,Can't expect more within that space. Booked with an extra bed and they left it just folded in... More

Hotel Tadoussac was beautiful... If you like old charm. Don't expect anything modernized considering the prices are fairly steep per person. The gardens are nice, you are right on the water, the building is old with original wooden windows. Walls are very thin and you can hear your neighbours clearly, including the ones above you (we were on the second... More

It still looks like in the movie New Hampshire. A grand hotel directly at the Tadoussac bay with lots of terraces and sunchairs facing the small harbour and the old chapel and cementary. They even provide a outdoor pool, but it was too windy and cold during our stay to get in. The rooms are very spacious and the bed... More

Unfortunately, we only had time to visit lovely Tadoussac for one night. The hotel very much reminded me of one of my favorite hotels (Mount Washington Hotel, Bretton Woods, NH). Although much smaller. The staff was extremely friendly and informative. Had a slightly tired interior and exterior but that didn't bother us one bit. It is clean and cozy with... More

The common areas are generous and the building is impressive. The economy rooms are ok, a bit small and no view. But this was expected. It is nice to walk into an impressive hotel. The service staff are professional and pleasant. We would come back, it is much nicer than in a motel here or a B&B.

The Hotel Tadoussac is instantly recognisable to anyone who's read a guide book on Canada in recent years, since tourist guides usually contain a photograph of the iconic red roof. In reality, the roof is a battered pink, with flakes of paint coming off it. Check-in is very slow and I found myself arguing for quite a while with the... More

This hotel is something of an icon in the small town of Tadoussac on the St Lawrence river. It is long and red roofed, and quite clearly visible on the skyline. It faces the river (which is so big it looks more like the sea) and beach and has lovely views. It has nice grounds, including a heated outdoor swimming... More
