We have spent a lot of our time managing our trip in Canda. One of our targets was to spent a couple of days in Tadoussac and this Hotel seemed to be a great place to stay. I'm still convinced it has been the right choose. I lived a great experience, does'nt matter there was no a/c, there was a... more

The only 5 star point about this hotel is the amount they charge. It is terrible value for money and is in urgent need of renovation. Looks like it hasn't been touched since the 60's. There are now many good B&B & other hotel options in Tadoussac. Do yourself a favour and DO NOT stay at this hotel. There is... more

Dear Seyenepo, We are sorry that you feel this way about our hotel. We are proud of our establishment and we are currently working on a project to upgrade our rooms without changing the historical character which so many people like. We have never pretended to be a 5 star hotel, even though we are the only ones in the...

I am travelling with a familly of 6 (2 adults, 4 children), and price for 3 nights including breakfast was CAD 2493, which is more that what I paid at the Marriot Courtyard in Quebec City, a much much better place. Hotel Tadoussac is a tired former 5 star hotel in the 60s, now the equivalent of a 2/3 star,... more

We wish that you would have enjoyed your 3 nights with us. Your feedback will help us improve the quality of our service and point...

I went there to stay one night after an online booking. This is a four star category hotel starting at C$204 per night plus applicable taxes, you will end up paying C$232.52 per night. I visited the room, it was dark, damp and too small with one queen-size bed. The bath room was also too small and cramped. Corridor taking... more

Most disappointed from word go by untrained unhelpful unsmiling receptionist and tired disinterested valet who could not even help us unload bags from car. Room lacked airconditioning, fridge, room safe, comfortable armchair, instruction/welcome leaflet/folder and was fitted out with impractical heavy furniture. Bathroom grout filthy needed regrouting badly. Bedroom fan noisy and ineffectual. Slept badly due to poor soundproofing. Bar... more

This is a very old, charming country inn...complete with mismatched, floral sofas in the large and inviting lobby, old, b&w photos on all the pillars from the past glory days of the Hotel Tadoussac, Adirondack chairs with water views, the huge dining hall with walls covered in charming hand painted murals depicting battles. There is an upscale but still slightly... more

Compared to other area options this may be the best of the bunch-I don't know. But the hotel is a total dive. We arrived at the start of whale season in early May and felt like we were inconveniencing everyone by our presence. Our "waterfront view" was through a tiny window next to a desk and and was the only... more

I join most of the other reviews... but I had a nice receptionnist :-) The hotel is really convienently placed, the restaurant is good, the location is perfect, the "living room" downstairs is really nice, the little boutique is really practical to buy a nice warm coat to go whale watching and the room was warm and clean. The view... more

We just returned from a three day stay. Its the best place to stay for whale watching and, all in all, its older but not bad. I've stayed in Four Seasons and dumps, this place is a throwback to hotels in the US in the early sixties. Its clean, the food is OK and its well located with good views.... more

Relatively well maintained old, wooden hotel of the national park lodge type with excellent view of Tadoussac harbor. Difficulties encountered included brusque receptionist who added $30/night to our internet rate for an uncomfortable cot which was already in the room; musty smell throughout the hotel; poorly maintained recreation room - billiards tables had ripped felt, cues were warped, bridge was... more
