The Motel LaPaysanne is a bargain-priced comfortable roadside motel just outside the Lenoxville community in Sherbrooke, Quebec. It's close to -- walking, maybe, certainly by car -- to neighborhood services including a convenience store (dépanneur) and a Tim Horton's. It's also close to Bishop's University, all of which makes this south-side slice of Sherbrooke its Anglephone quarter. Admittedly, I stayed... More

Look...the Paysanne is the Paysanne. Typical, by the busy highway, older motel. Some rooms dated...some 'refurbished'. But you are in Lennoxville, QC...home of the mighty BU Gaiters. So tuck in for the night(s), enjoy the cereal/toast (which is graciously included in the rock bottom price) and head into town or campus. A Lennoxville landmark and part of history. The owners... Upon our arrival at the Motel-Hotel La Paysanne in Sherbrooke, Quebec, Anna, the clerk at the desk, informed us that Expedia was supposed to charge us an additional $10 per person. I was planning on staying with my children and husband in a family room, meant for 4 people. When I explained that she would need to resolve this situation... More

This motel has adequate rooms which are very clean. There was an AC unit in our window. The reception staff are great and help with any questions. I went on booking.com to reserve a room but called instead and that saved $10 on the price. There is ample parking and the whole outside area is well kept. There is a... More

I stayed at la Paysanne in December and with my wife in January to accompany our daughter to BU. Got a nice, clean room that's quite affordable. The bed was very comfortable and sheets and towels clean. The floor was redone and immaculate. The bathroom was also very clean and had been upgraded but not completely ripped apart showing some... We enjoyed our one night stay in Canada at this motel. They allowed our furry girl to stay with us for a fee. We were strangers in a strange land, because we don't speak French. Luckily, the manager speaks English. Because we were in a hurry in the morning, I somehow left my favorite pillow in the room. Although they... More

We stayed at this motel for the Canada Summer Games with 4 couples. The decor is dated but the rooms are very clean and very charming. It is great value for the cost. The service we received was excellent....friendly, helpful and efficient. Breakfast was minimal but served with a smile in a pretty little dining room. The hotel is located... More

Price was reasonable, breakfast minimal. Thought it would be good since there was a real (albeit small) dining room. Choice of toast, English muffins, bagels! Very slow service. Rooms small but clean. Smallest bathrooms I have ever seen; and smallest tub I've ever seen. We had a room at the back, overlooking a trail - pretty, shady. Our kids were... More

Having gone to Bishop's, I stayed here to visit some friends the year after I graduated. They refused to give us a room up top-made us stay in the crappy dungeon of a basement, with other BU grads. The room was terrible- old, dirty and smelled of must and lemon cleaner. They locked my car in, and accused us of... More

We rent this motel as a group for a basketball tournament. It a very old motel but it is clean. I think that at $110 a night, tax included is a little expensive for such a room. I suppose they took adventage to the fact that there was also a big hockey tournament at the same time.
