This years trip to Quebec city was planned with my two best friends and we were in a different mood than a typical hotel room! People close to us strongly suggested we try Le Chateau du Faubourg! turns out that I'm never going back to the hilton! I even asked Philippe who is that care taker of the Chateau, who... More

Thank you very much for your comments and review. We appreciate your comments about the quality of the restauration we have done and that we continue every year one step at the time. I wish we had the Le Louvre budget but it is not the case and we have to restaure without any help from the local and provincial... More

LIke stepping into a French palace at Versaille. Beautiful antique furniture, charming hosts and EXTREMELY comfortable bed. We stayed here for 3 nights and felt like royalty. Fantastic place to come to for a romantic indulgence and a perfect base from which to explore the beautiful Quebec. Can't fault it!

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We do appreciate your comments about the Paris feeling in our Château. The style of the building is very French (Empire style Napoleon III). Over the restauration we duplicated the original détails that makes the château feel so French. Québec City is the little Paris of North America! Once again... More

My husband and I stayed at Le Chateau du Faubourg for 5 days and besides the absolutely breath-taking interior of the premises which gave the feeling of French aristocracy, the breakfast was simply divine. We will be back!

I stayed a long weekend during my last stay in the beautiful city of Quebec and I found my new place of choice for my yearly trips to Quebec. What an experience, being plunged into another century with the look and feel of this Castle! I did not have enough time in my weekend to see every detail in that... More

This is quite an interesting place and definitely worth a stay. The interior of the home looks like an old palace and the decoration has been done accordingly. We stayed with friends in the Louis XV suite which consists of two bedrooms, a bathroom and a small common room. The name is a bit grand because the rooms are small.... More

Thank you very much for your comments. I suggest that if you are visiting us again, please try our other suites that are more spacious. It is true that the suite you had is the smallest one we have but the price is great for 4 people and the relation value/price is one of the best in our area. Thanks! More

I had a 5 day conference at the Quebec Convention Centre and I chose Le Chateau du Faubourg because it was a convenient 5 minute walk away. This BnB is on Rue St Jean so the walk was very pleasant. I found the BnB in general and my room in particular to be very clean and tidy. My bed and... More

If I could I would have given this place 2.5 stars out of five, 2 stars seems a tad too low but on consideration I just could not give it 3 out of five. This B and B has a lot going for it and a lot not going for it. Let me start with some positives. It is an... More
