I've been meaning to write this review for a while. We motorcycled to Quebec City from from Rochester NY via Montreal and arrived later than anticipated. None-the-less, the property manager Phillippe was waiting for us with a smiling face and an invitation to park our motorcycle safely off the street in the property garage. We walked up the front steps... More

Phillipe is a wonderful host and the chateau is striking, one of the most beautiful places on earth. The neighborhood is vibrant with so many great places to shop, eat, and enjoy a great glass of wine. I've been to 30 Countries and 100's of cities, nothing this beautiful though!!!

We had a wonderful vacation in Quebec City. Our hosts were so gracious & hospitable! They were a very big part of our feeling welcome and at ease! Philip, was especially sensitivity in guiding with suggestions about discovering gems around the city. Their home is grand and spotlessly clean. Being in Quebec City was as I imagine Europe…more relaxed and... More

Thank you for your review! Over the years we worked very hard to make Le château du Faubourg a place that our clients will remember for its exceptional architecture but cosy and welcoming. Hope to see you soon in our beautiful city. More

We were a bit put off by the curb appeal and the rough plank steps to the front door. The inside of this magnificient home is a true throwback in time. The Louis XIV furnishings are elegant. WE were on a 45th anniversary trip and had the Master's Suite. The bedroom was palatial at 20'X20' and the sitting room was... More

Thank you very much for your review. As you mentioned our location is great, walking distance from the very old part of the city but in the most vibrant part of Quebec City. Our district is where Quebecer are living and gives you a real feel of the city. Hope to see you soon! More

We stayed for 4 nights. Originally we were coming with another couple (that changed but we were still given the suite) As others have mentioned Philipe the manager, was welcoming and helpful. He served a great breakfast every morning. There was classical music playing all day. And cookies and snacks were left out for us to enjoy. The rooms have... More

This beautiful inn was one of our best bed-and-breakfast experiences ever. Incredibly warm welcome marked with efficiency and helpfulness from host Phillippe, and a truly beautiful facility. Parlors are available on the first floor, and period furniture makes every room special. The third-floor rooms are fine (unless you are tall--eaves take up much of the room) but the second-floor rooms... More

We absolutely loved the chateau. Philipe met us on the stairs as we arrived, and even though we were early, he took us straight to our room and invited us down for breakfast. Philipe showed us around the Chateau and then we had a nice chat over breakfast. He is very knowledgable and gave us some very good info. Our... More

This was our second visit, and again we were very satisfied! We love this auberge because of the charming house (beautifully restored, albeit with a few quirky twists!), excellent peaceful location (away from the hustle bustle, but a short walk to all the sites, and surrounded by typically French pubs and shops - great microbrewery a few steps away) and... This is quite an interesting place and definitely worth a stay. The interior of the home looks like an old palace and the decoration has been done accordingly. We stayed with friends in the Louis XV suite which consists of two bedrooms, a bathroom and a small common room. The name is a bit grand because the rooms are small.... More

Thank you very much for your comments. I suggest that if you are visiting us again, please try our other suites that are more spacious. It is true that the suite you had is the smallest one we have but the price is great for 4 people and the relation value/price is one of the best in our area. Thanks! More

I had a 5 day conference at the Quebec Convention Centre and I chose Le Chateau du Faubourg because it was a convenient 5 minute walk away. This BnB is on Rue St Jean so the walk was very pleasant. I found the BnB in general and my room in particular to be very clean and tidy. My bed and... More
