The host Clement was really great -- offering a lot of information on the city. Breakfasts were tremendous as well. The little sunroom table was our favourite! I agree with a previous reviewer about room size -- some may be a little disappointed with that aspect. There are some steep stairs to negotiate as well. One thing we noted --... More

We chose J.A. Moisan exclusively on the basis of its positive reviews on Tripadvisor. We were worried it might be too far outside the walled part of the city. That wasn't the case at all. And the proprietors (Clement and his wife) were really helpful and friendly, and my wife hasn't stopped talking about the gourmet breakfasts. The place has... More

Agree with all the previous reviews. Great location, great rates, wonderful breakfast, etc., etc. Just someting to consider for larger folks who may require a bit more space then some. The rooms and living area are located above a wonderful store so it requires climbing 2 flights of stairs to get to the rooms. Since this is an old building... More

My husband and I spent two nights at J.A.Moisan and it was probably the best B&B experience we'd ever had. The house was beautiful and warm, and everything--from an amazing selection of teas, to internet access, was nicely provided for. We stayed at the room Amelia, which was small but lovely. The breakfast was definitely the highlight of our experience--we... More

Bonjour, Travelers! My girlfriend and I attended the 2012 Winter Carnival in February this year. Our first night in town was spent at J. A. Moisan, which sets atop its very own grocery store/gourmet market. Incredible eats, teas and spices from all around the world! More on the market later... The house was warm and well-decorated, as were the rooms... More

Our first experience with Canada started in Montreal and then we moved down to Quebec by train. I had communicated to Clement by phone and email and he was extremely helpful. As I said in my last review when we travel we stay normally in hotels and this time we wanted a quiet out of the way places and we... More

What an exceptional place to stay at. Clement is the friendliest host you can hope for. With a warm heart he welcomed us into not only his beautiful home but also into his city. He was dedicated to making our stay in Quebec a memorable experience that we will cherish for the rest of our lives. The breakfast was better... More

To experience Quebec City and all it's culture you must stay at J.A.Moisan. Clement and Natalie are the very best host and their breakfast's are second to none. Also take time to visit the boutique grocery, it has something for everyone. We will definitely come back. Tim & Vicky

From the first email contact, Clément, was the most accommodating B & B host. Although they were booked for part of the dates we requested, he updated us on availability and by the time of our arrival, we ended up with the days we wanted and the room requested. He met us at the door, gave us an informative tour... More
