Perfect! We stayed at the location inside the old city walls (there was another location in a residential neighborhood) it's a wonderful manor, comfortable and stately at the same time. Couldn't have asked for a better location, you step out the front door and just stroll around the old city. The owners were sweethearts, they took care of us like... More

This is a lovely old apartment style house in the off-the-beaten track of Quebec. The owner waited for us late at night and received us with kindness, help and friendship. He even made us a welcome cup of coffee after a long drive. He treated my dad of 90 yrs old, with a huge amount of respect while lending a... More

I spent 4 nights at Abat-Jour, in June. Very welcoming, friendly family, they make you feel at home. The breakfast was delicious, consistent, homemade and different every morning. The B& B is in a quiet, residential area, a few minutes ride to downtown; there is also a bus station very close. All in all it is a great value for... More

Ahmed and Salouha, were wonderful hosts, providing us with not only glorious meals, fabulous tourist information but with genuine friendship as well. In the duration of our stay (10 days) they managed to provide a variety of scrumptious, plentiful breakfasts that consisted of fruit, yoghurt, something hot and bread - all freshly made by them. The room was large and... More

We stayed here for 3 nights and this was perfect for us. We had our car but once we parked at the B&B we never used it! We walked, rode our bikes, and rollerbladed everywhere we went. The B&B is very close to the path/trail network. Close to Quebec City but in a safe, quiet neighborhood. The owner and his... More

Our family of three stayed here for three nights in a relatively small room. The hosts were gracious, even though I could've done without the political commentaries. A big downside is their supposed non-acceptance of credit cards. They did take mine, after the host drove me around in his cab to three ATMs to withdraw cash without success.

My wife and I and our daughters (13 and 10 years) spent six nights at L'abat-jour and enjoyed our stay a great deal. My only regret is that we didn't stay a seventh night to see whether they would serve us yet another unique breakfast! Each morning, it was something different, and delicious--pancakes, omelets, French toast; warm bread with homemade... More

I found the Abat-jour B&B by accident. A friend and I traveled to Québec in May of 2008 and our planned hotel fell through. We were referred to Abat-jour by someone working at a Tourist Center. Our experience that first time with hosts Ahmed and Salouha el-Ghandouri was so wonderful and so positive that I have since come to believe... More

We went to Quebec city for our 20th anniversary. It was the 400 anniversary celebration for the province. We were warmly welcomed by Ahmed and his wife. Spoke english and was able to communicate effectively. Found that Abat Jour was easy acess to Old Quebe, 1/2 block from bus line and a bike trail several blocks away which both led... More

A very welcoming atmosphere with a friendly and helpful host who served an extremely tasty breakfast which was a different one every morning. Thank you! We enjoyed our stay! :-)
