Rather nice hotel located in a commercial district somewhat off downtown next to the highway. A ride into old Quebec by car takes 10-15 minutes, however be prepared that parking costs are pretty high downtown. LeDauphin is in a very convenient location, near the highway that takes you to Ste. Anne De Beaupre, Montmoncery Falls, or Old Town. Also Cora's for breakfast is just 2 minutes away. We stayed at the Dauphin Quebec while visiting family for Easter. First, the hotel is perfectly located; halfway between the old city (less than 10 minutes driving distance) and the large shopping mall (less than 5 mintues) and the Laurentians mountains (+/-10 minutes) AND right on the highway... From the outside, Le Dauphin appeared identical to any number of business-class hotels. However, there were several nice features one would not expect in a business hotel.
