We were 2 couples in a suite with 2 queen beds (with a privacy curtain between) and a sitting area. It also has a fireplace that I'm sure is a nice touch in winter. The location is perfect, you can walk almost everywhere you would want to go, and the hot/cold buffet breakfast is more than adequate to begin your... More

This was my third stay at Le Champlain Hotel and it just gets better. Rooms are clean, the common sitting area with a fantastic espresso machine is such a nice touch. The complimentary continental breakfast is very good and changes a little each day. Staff are friendly and helpful. The location is great for seeing both the upper and lower... More

This hotel is inside the wall in Old Quebec but on a side street so it is quieter. A five minute walk to the boardwalk overlooking the river. We were two couples sharing a lovely room and there was lots of space for us all to stretch out. Very comfortable queen sized beds. Lots of hot water. The staff are... More

We stayed here for 3 nights last week. It is a wonderful hotel and we thoroughly enjoyed. It is well maintained and decorated. We had a suite-(an L-shaped room with two queen sized bed that had a curtain to privatize them). We were 4 adults and there was plenty of room for us all. A continental breakfast is included which... We stayed in this delightful hotel for one night prior to boarding a cruise ship, and wish I could have stayed longer! Don't let the 60's facade and AstroTurf out front fool you... inside you'll find lovely, spacious, clean and comfortable rooms. The room even had huge real windows that actually opened to catch a breeze and the soft clip-clip... More

We checked in to the Champlain on our 2nd night in Quebec City. Our first hotel was very noisy and hot- and we found this one online in a pinch. Not only was it cheaper than our first hotel, it had a better breakfast, much nicer rooms and an elevator!! We paid about $20 for parking- but it was very... More

Our stay at Hotel Champlain was beyond our expectations from the second we arrived to the minute we left. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Being greeted each time we were in the lobby made us feel at home. The breakfast was phenomenal. My mother has very strict dietary constraints and complimentary breakfast doesn't always work well for her.... More

We booked a room here based on mostly positive TripAdvisor reviews. When we first arrived, we were disappointed by the appearance--it has a very humble exterior and a tiny, plain lobby. The narrow, somewhat dingy hallway leading to our fourth-floor room was even more dispiriting, and we fought back fears that we had been misled into booking a subpar hotel.... More

Spent 5 days at this great hotel in the middle of Festival d'été de Québec. Despite hordes of people the staff was most helpful. location was far enough away from the festival and from the tourist area that it was peaceful but easy to reach all of the activities. recommend it highly and we will be back.

This is the place we will stay when we are in Quebec City. It was a slice of Paris in Canada. The staff was friendly and tolerated my attempts at French with patience and good humor. The on site parking was a god send and it is central to all the sites in the old part of the city. Our... More
