I can understand the mixed reviews. Port Royal Suites is very nice, but is not as polished as it could be. I chose this hotel because it offered a good option for a couple traveling with a friend. When I called to reserve, I opted for the clerk's suggestion of a superior suite, as it had a separate bedroom and... more

We were so pleased with this hotel. We mentioned to the bellman that we were here for our 26th wedding anniversary as we were checking in. When we got to our room, we were greeted by a heart formed with glitter confetti on our bed and two chocolate roses in the center and classical music playing softly. An ice bucket... more

After reading glowing reviews of the hotel I decided to book my summer vacation. First the good. The location is perfect for being in the lower city. The people at the hotel were friendly and helpful. Free WiFi in the rooms. The rooms (suites) were large given these were apartments in a past life. Now the bad. Given the price... more

The location is great, near to all the sights in Viex Quebec. The rooms are in fact one bedroom apartments, ours had all the stone walls of the old building exposed and the decoration is contemporary so they contrast nicely. The king bed had a down comforter and terry robes were waiting for us on the bed. In case your... more

We stayed in a superior room over Christmas. There was a kitchen (large fridge, stove and oven) and a lounge with one sofa, tv and coffee table and a round dining table. It was great having the extra space for an extended stay. Staff were friendly. There was a christmas decoration on the door and we were given a fruit... more

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights during December. Not only was the location fantastic, but the price was perfect. We looked at a couple of different suites and the common theme was that they had lots of space. This hotel truly is a find and I would recommend to anyone planning on visiting Quebec. A bit of advice,... more

My girlfriend and I traveled up to Quebec City for a one night stay during our vacation in Montreal. After a long time searching on Expedia for a nice boutique style hotel at a reasonable price, I finally chose the Hotel Port Royal. As mentioned in earlier posts, the hotel is difficult to find with mapquest directions and if you... more

We stayed at Port Royal Suites for one night in July and we were totally impressed. I loved the modern design of the rooms and the kitchenette was a great feature, even though we didn't have the opportunity to use it. As other reviewers have indicated, this hotel is in a great location - within walking distance of all of... more

We stayed here for a couple of nights at the end of October. Boutique style hotel. We had booked a standard suite, but reception upgraded us to suite 204, which for the three of us gave us more space. Great suite lots of room and amenities. Car park right outside the entrance. We had a package deal including parking and... more

We stayed for 3 nights at the Hotel Port Royal Suites. We booked a Superior one bedroom which was nice, spacious and clean. It was not as elegant looking as the room pictured in the ad - but still nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was wonderful: we could walk to everything but not a lot... more
