Just spent one night there (Aug 31st - Sept 1st 2008) Pros: Very elegant upper-end small cosy trendy and modern hotel-boutique with flat-screen TV in room, modern furnitures and decorations, modern bathroom, comfortable bed. We were in room #630 and that room is blessed by an awesome view of the St. Lawrence on one side, and the other one facing... more

This was the best!!!!! Our room had a fantastic view and was beautifully appointed...with the world's most comfortable bed, two televisions with surround sound, a DVD player, a fantastic bathroom....and the shower is to die for!!!! The location was perfect....central to great shops and the best restaurants. We had a great time! more

As this was our first trip to Quebec City and we didn’t know the city at all, it was difficult to know where to stay. The maps all blurred together, and we had no idea what was a charming street or what was not. With a huge assortment of lodging options, and many with good reviews, it seemed to come... more

Very nice hotel!!! Modern style and newly renovated. Loved the cafe. Free coffee 24/7. The staff, the front desk were very nice. They were eager to introduce restaurants and make reservations for us. The room was very clean. Very impressed with the DVD player. And when we entered the room, there was music playing. Very nicely cleaned and prepared. We... more

We were in Quebec City for a long weekend and had tried this hotel but it was booked. When our flight home was cancelled and we needed a Sunday night hotel, we called from the airport and a room was available. We stayed in a Superior Room for $220. Not much of a view but the room was beautiful! The... more

I also booked this hotel after reading mixed comments here. I don't regret it either, however.... Yes the location is one of the best in Quebec, the staff are good and very helpful. Drinks are available for free all day which is nice, However there's not enough room for breakfast for everyone at the same time, most mornings people had... more

I knew that the city was pretty but what but a good felling when I first enter in the lobby of the Hotel 71! It seem that all the team was there to welcome us. We reserved a classic room but it was a lot more than Classic. The bed was so confortable . The view on the Saint-Laurence River... more

This seems to be no more than a few rooms for rent in what is essentially an office building. There are no public rooms of any significance and the staff coverage is somewhat superficial. Not sure why it gets the ratings it does on trip advisor. Sure the location is good but there are some basics missing. For example I... more

My husband and I went to Quebec and booked Hotel 71 at the last minute - we ended up in a suite overlooking the river - the room and the view were amazing. I think I could have stayed in the shower all day! The Hotel staff goes above and beyond and interacting with them was very pleasent. We will... more
