Perfect location in old town, a picturesque part of the city. Close to the citadel and other attractions and opposite the Hotel Fairmont. Lots of good restaurants near by. Easy access to Old Port by walking or Vernacular. Staff friendly and efficient. Hotel was reasonable priced. would definitely recommend as a good 4 star hotel.

We loved our three nights in the "Marie Antoinette" room on the front of the building overlooking Place d'Armes and the Chateau Frontenac. Very clever decorations and the faux fire lent a warm vibe to an already warm room. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The standout is the small, unpretentious hotel restaurant. This provides seriously gourmet food... More

We went to Auberge Place D'Armes on Easter weekend. As we knew it could be cold outside at that time of year, we reserved a suite with a fireplace. We expected to have a somewhat roomy room with a nice living room corner in which we could sit in front of a warm fireplace. That would have been a very... More

Merci - We had a terrific time at the Place D'Armes. The staff could not be more friendly and helpful. Their recommendations were spot on and they went out of their way to make our stay top notch. The inn is beautiful. The rooms are impeccable. We had the attic room which was beautifully decorated with all the comforts. The... More

We found this booking online as we wanted to round out a visit to the Hotel de Glace in Quebec City. We wanted in the old city and found this to be a fantastic inn! The location was ideal (we overlooked Chateau Frontenac), surrounded by old world charm, restaurants and wonderful architecture. Upon check-in (very early 11:00 am), we were... More

I'm not sure how to rate beyond excellence! The staff was the best I have ever encountered. Anne at the desk was the most wonderful person! Her lovely, friendly manner made us immediately comfortable. Her suggestions on dining next door were worth every morsel. We had the charcuterie platter and the cheese fondue...Heaven!! Our server and wine expert Katzi (sp?)... More

Loved this hotel. Location is perfect for exploring Quebec's historic area. Staff were charming and very helpful. Breakfast was included and was amazing, considrably better than the typical buffet fare. What our room lacked in size it amply made up for in style and character. We will be back. It's a romantic city, romantic accommodation is required!

Bonjour Andybobob, We are very happy that you felt the cosyness and charm of our rooms. Thank you for your compliments about the breakfast! The hotel has a lot of character since it is 2 old buildings joined together. Combining 1730's old walls, modern amenities, hand made designer furniture and antiques give each of our rooms their unicity and soul!... More

Located perfectly for walking the old town the walk-up room on old stairs is a pleasant surprise. Tastefully decorated but with whimsey and fantasy. Fun. Big however, the mattress have me backaches. It seems to be a cheapo which was someone's mistake. For that reason we won't go back. Otherwise we would. Breakfast is superb. Everything gets two thumbs up... More

The Auberge Place D'Armes made my trip to Quebec so enjoyable. I was given a free upgrade to a beautiful room overlooking the Chateau Frontenac. The staff were very solicitous and took very good care of me. Breakfasts in the adjoining restaurant were delicious. I will certainly be returning here to stay on my next visit to Quebec City!
