A charming, clean inn, with a fantastic location in the heart of the Old City. The staff were all very friendly and happy to speak English to two American Anglophones. The continental breakfast was excellent and presented in a fine dining atmosphere. We did not try the restaurant for dinner, but it looked very good. more

We were fortunate that the weather in Quebec was fairly mild and were able to comfortably walk all around the city. It's a beautiful, old historic city with lots of shopping, sightseeing and entertainment plus excellent restaurants. The Auberge Place d' Armes is in the heart of the old city and is convenient to everything. The rooms are small as... more

What's great about this place is also what's annoying about it. The location, in some ways, couldn't be better: on a cobblestone pedestrian street, across the square from the Chateau Frontenac. There's a little craft market across the street, and the Terrace Dufferin boardwalk and the funicular to the lower city are just steps away. The downside: 1) to get... more

A perfect stay, from the enormous bathroom to the incredible wonderful concierges. We upgraded to a suite for very little more than the cost of a deluxe room and it was so worth it. We had a beautiful balcony where I would have coffee and read every morning and a bathroom the size of many hotel rooms with an enormous... more

The location is central, right across the street from Frontenac, in the heart of upper town. It's quite convenient to go to the lower town, as well as the main eateries and attractions in the upper town. The rooms are quite well, considering the price. The rooms do have this exposed brick wall, and faded plaster bathroom walls, which is... more

Everything was just lovely from the moment we arrived at the hotel. We were greeted by a very polite staff who not only upgraded us to a bigger room for free but also recommended a great restaurant for us to have our first meal in Quebec. The room was gorgeous and very clean with a great view. The continental breakfast... more

We went over there for a romatic week end from december 1st to 3rd. We were supposed to leave on sunday but decided to spend one more night instead to explore Montreal. The room was very nice and the bed more confortable than we can expect. Decoration is lot much better than other hotels we can find at this price.... more

This little hotel is located a block from the municipal parking lot, off a cobblestone walkway. It is in an old building with a great location - close to restaurants, shops and the St. Lawrence. The room was neat and furnished as described. The owners tried to decorate it in an old-world manner. However, it was a hodgepodge of worn... more

The Auberge Place d’Armes is the charming place to stay in Quebec. It is ideally situated on a pedestrian street (no cars allowed). Just a few steps away, have a glass of wine at an outdoor café, people-watch at the nearby park & fountain, chat with painters on rue du Trésor or admire the Chateau Frontenac from the stairs of... more
