We stayed at Couette & Cafe L'Arvidienne for two nights over Winter Carnival. The host and hostess could not have been more welcoming and friendly. The breakfasts were fabulous and we had a great time meeting the other guests. The room was spacious and comfortable with super comfortable mattress and well appointed bathroom. Entire house is spotless. Very good location... More

Going the extra mile in all areas from gourmet breakfast, sumptuous linens, well-appointed room with fresh flowers to descriptions including some tickets of places we might visit. There was no sense of hurry or anything too much for them to offer to help our busy eight day stay become the best holiday ever.

An elegant home with a beautiful garden in a lovely residential neighborhood. The Degas room was spacious and comfortable---with gorgeous 1930's bathroom fixtures and tile. Although we wondered about staying outside of the old city for our short visit, it turned out to be the pefect location. We loved exploring the restaurants and shops on Avenue Cartier and walking through... More

I was going to login here and mention what a wonderful stay we had at Couette & Cafe L'Arvidienne, but there are so many postings with the same review! We stayed at Couette & Cafe L'Arvidienne for three nights during a recent trip to Quebec city. Hosts Mireille and Serge are always there to answer questions, offer suggestions, or mark-up... More

Travelling is all about meeting people and you couldn't find two more charming and kind hosts than Mireille and Serge. We stayed five nights and would have loved to have spent more time there. The morning breakfast table is a treat - both the guests and the food! But be warned - you may spend a good slice of the... More

The title just about says it all. We enjoyed four nights with Mireille and Serge in late May, and when our travels bring us back to Quebec (and they will) you can bet we'll try to book accommodations with them again. The house (built around 1940 + or - a year or two) is absolutely beautiful. The cherry floors are... More

My husband and I just returned from a 3-night stay in the Degas room. It was large, tastefully decorated, had a private bathroom, and the king bed was very comfortable. It was also immaculate and very quiet. But the best part of our stay was due to the hostess and host, Mireille and Serge. They were welcoming and helpful in... More

We spent a week here in late September, staying in the Degas room. The room was large and tastefully decorated with a comfortable king-sized bed, 2 comfortable chairs, a desk and chair, and a beautiful old bureau. Plus TV. The room and ensuite were spotless. Linen changes were appropiate. Breakfasts were varied and ambitious. The hosts were friendly and informative.... More

We had several wonderful days at L'Arvidienne which was on Grande Allee, a few blocks from the main dinner areas before one gets to the old city. L'Arvidienne was spotless and beautifully decorated - we stayed in the Degas room - with lovely comforters and one of the most comfortable beds we've experienced. Breakfast each morning was a delight with... More

On our trip through Canada with friends I wanted to book B&B's. So I searched for months to find the best ones possible. I saw this one on a web site that rented it for you, but it didn't have the name. I wanted to talk directly with the owners of all the ones I booked so I searched through... More
