I can't say enough about this hotel! Finally a room big enough for us to spread out in, beds so comfortable that I wanted to bring mine home, and best of all it was in the perfect location with a short walk to everything. The price was much less than I expected to pay and the staff friendly and accommodating.... More

Just outside the walled city of Old Quebec and beside Marriot is this old style fancy hotel. It goes very well with the experience and ambiance of the past luxury that the rich enjoyed. Now it is affordable for the common traveler. Fancy curtains and bedding and in the washroom glass sliding doors and all the usual appliances and toiletries.

Came for a two day business conference. This is an old stately hotel that has been updated to current standards. My room was a small suite with a sitting room off the bedroom. Very comfortable. The bathroom fixtures have all been updated. The staff was very pleasant and always helpful, switching easily from French to English for me. The poll... More

I arrived at the hotel a little after 1PM asked if we could get into our room we reserved. The counter girl looks at the computer and says no. When can we get in. 4 o'clock is when all the rooms will be ready. I was only looking for mine and asked if Housekeeping could work on it now with... More

My daughters class stayed here on their end of the year trip and I was a chaperone. Short walk from the Plains of Abraham, Quebec Legislature and local shops. Pool is small but clean. Rooms where nice. Hardwood floors were installed improperly which makes it look a little cheap, but the staff are great and the restaurant is awesome.

Great location very near the conference center where we needed to be. A block or so from the old wall and original part of town. Nicely appointed rooms. Staff are very friendly. Pool area is not private as in the center of the hotel with many balconies looking down on this area. Did not have a chance to eat at... More

Its a great value if you like the to walk to local places and historical sites. You are not far from places to visit and the ease to the highway is very good. The beefsteak house in the hotel is pricey. Service is very good and the staff is very helpful to first time visitor with local knowledge.

Having visited West Canada various times and already chuffed by the Canadians and their friendly hospitality first time in Francophone Canada Was attending the world conference of the International Society for Travel Medicine at the Hilton congres centre but preferred the more cosy setting of the Palace Royal Certainly not disappointed Value for money , well located in Vieux Quebec... Just steps outside and you walk through St John Gate and on to the cobbled streets of Old Quebec. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The staff is very friendly. Enjoyed our visit and looking forward to returning!
