I just spent a perfectly lovely weekend in Quebec City and I have to say, one of the highlights was definitely staying at Cafe Krieghoff. From the minute we attempted to check in to the moment we left--a span of 24 hours--we were treated with rudeness and disdain. Language problem maybe? Nope. We both speak French. Also the supposed B&B breakfast included was a ruse: you got a voucher for a fixed amount to be used in the restaurant downstairs. In oder to check in,... more

What a fine place! The relaxed cafe downstairs gives this place buckets of charm and serves up the best brasserie style food in the area. And most importantly, they serve a great espresso.
