A great location for visiting Old Quebec City, it just can't be beat for the price. Lovely helpful staff, they even helped bring our bags up the stairs, and supplied us with free laundry upon request. We had a spacious room, clean and airy. The bed was great, with a really warm quilt. Bathroom up to date. The breakfast was... More

Wonderful charming boutique hotel, great location right in the heart of Old Quebec city, walking distant to most tourist attractions & restaurants ; very clean, friendly staff, highly recommanded for a gettaway weekend !

The staff was very friendly, especially Richard, who welcomed us, carried our luggage from the car to the room, gave us great info about goings-on in the area, and made sure we were always happy during our week-long stay. One staff member was a bit too friendly in the attached spa, but we handled that situation... None of the staff... More

Our second visit to Hotel Hippocampe. A nice small hotel within the walls of Old Quebec. It is about a 15 minute walk(uphill) from the train station Gare du Palais. A short taxi ride is much easier and its around 5-7 Canadian dollars(Between $3-$5US). The hotel is a combination Hotel and Bathhouse primarily for Gay and Bisexual men. The rooms... More

Of course this hotel is not for everyone but we were more than happy! We stayed in this hotel over the holiday and Pride weekend - the City was full of visitors and everyone was very friendly - both in the hotel as well as the community at large. We will definitely come back. Our suite in the hotel was... More

My partner and I spent 2 nights here. The room was clean and cozy. Although a little spartan on the decor side, everything seemed freshly painted and well maintained. Breakfast included coffee, bagels, toast, and fruit. At times, you could smell the hot tub (chlorine) throughout the hotel, but it wasn't that big a deal. Overall quiet. Never heard tv,... More

Located just two blocks from the Main Street in Old Quebec, Rue St Jean. We booked the suit 330 and it was a very nice apartment with bedroom, living room and kitchen, as well as nice bathroom. Modern and well kept. Breakfast was included, nothing fancy: coffee, bagels, juice and fresh fruit. The hotel has a sauna and steam bath,... More

Very clean - Very comfortable - Very hospitable! We stayed there in mid summer - had a blast! We brought our dog and they were perfectly happy to accommodate that. They also were able to handle our car. It is attached to a full sauna that was expansive in its services, clean and well maintained. It is right across the... More

We had a great time in the junior suite, which features a spacious comfortable sitting room, and a large bathroom and bedroom. And we heard the sauna was very popular with the single guests. The owner is very warm and welcoming. He went above and beyond when he personally drove us to the train station! We would definitely stay here... More

The junior suite is very well furnished with a soft bed, lots of storage, beautiful art & design, large functional kitchen, modern furniture and TV, and a smallish bathroom. It was a joy to return here after a day's full of touring, walking and site seeing the old city, to this hip room. The breakfast is basic bagel and coffee... More
