We chose Hotel Saint-Louis to spend Christmas this year which also was our 40th wedding anniversary. We had never been to Quebec and had never had a Christmas away from our family so we especially wanted a hotel with elegance and warmth. The Hotel Clos Saint-Louis was a magical place in a magical city! We were delighted with every aspect... more

Most important feature of this delightful Quebec hotel is its location. It is within easy walking distance of the important and enlightening historical and cultural sights as well as innumerable excellent restaurants within a wide price range. The hotel is spotlesslly maintained by a friendly, hlepful staff. There are three pleasant, comfortable rooms on the ground floor for seniors or... more

My husband and I have been visiting Hotel Le Clos St-Louis annually for the past four years. Every room is absolutely gorgeous and was decorated with the discerning traveller in mind. The hotel staff are very pleasant and the hotel is very clean. Very romantic, you won't be disappointed. The hotel is located in the heart of the old port... more

We are four sisters (all over 60 years of age). We stayed at this hotel from Dec. 6th until the 10th, 2008. The breakfasts were fine. The hotel was decorated well. The owner/hostess was very rude on our last night there. She upset my 70 year old sister to the point of being inconsolable. One of us wound up sleeping... more

This was our second visit to the Clos Saint-Louis, both times to celebrate our wedding anniversary. This lovely getaway is located on Rue Saint-Louis within the walls of the old city and convenient to the sites. We have stayed in several hotels in QC in the past, but Clos Saint-Louis surpasses in value, ambiance, uniqueness and in the friendly, welcoming... more

My wife & I stayed at this very romantic and charming inn during our first ever visit to Canada. We travel every, year, usually to Europe. This year because of the economy we chose to go to Quebec. This Inn was every bit as wonderful as it looks on its website www.clossaintlouis.com. The room was large, tastefully decorated and very... more

My spouse and I saw Le Clos St Louis during a June trip to Quebec City and when I enquired about information for our next visit I was immediately charmed by the atmosphere and friendliness of the staff. Once back in Toronto we booked on-line (very informative site), gave a deposit and stayed for three nights in Sept. The room... more

If you are looking for a romantic european flavor getaway this is the place for you. Quebec city itself is just wonderful and the LeClos Saint Louis is just perfect. Terrific location on a great street loaded with restaurants and some shops. The rooms are beautifully decorated and immaculately clean. The bathrooms too are immaculately clean and have good water... more

Service! Location! Ambiance! Ease! A property to stay if you want to soak in the feel of the old world with today's amenities. Completely restored victorian B&B with quaint details (owner selected) making each room a different experience. We booked room #18 for a long weekend anniversary trip. The building is within the walls of the old city, a five... more

The writeups that I had seen in Fudor's made me think that this would be a great place. I was somewhat disappointed. Hot water handle on shower/tub might or might not turn off. My wife almost got burned. The toilet might or might not stop running after flushing. As for changing bed linens, not sure if it was done in... more
