The room was clean and tidy, the front desk man (Constantino) made special efforts for all his clients, tellin best places where to go, finding a cab, and the coffe and croissants were just excellent. I would add some fresh fruit for the beakfast besides apples and bananas... We stayed 4 days and have a wonderful time. I certainly recommend... More

Simply Terrible. We came with high hopes for mandir Sainte Genevieve but we're rudely disappointed. Location is good. But that's about it. The hotel smelled musty and was clearly in need of a good clean. Tiles were cracked in the bathroom and black mould was everywhere paint was peeling. Bed spreads were ancient. Sheets were torn. Towells were grey from... More

Choose room number one at this location for exposed stone walls, high ceilings, and comfortable beds. The air-conditioning is a bonus during humid days and nights of summer. The bathroom is small but it 'gets the job done' and we were too busy strolling the streets of old Quebec to be too concerned with that aspect. There's a small patio... More

We stayed in Quebec for for nights. The location of this hotel is great. You can walk anywhere and the promenade is only a one minute walk away. Our room was spacious. The room was not so pretty but it was sufficient for our needs. The breakfast contained croissants, toast, jam, creame cheese, peanut butter, coffee and juice. The receptionist... More

This hotel is part of a group of hotels called "Les Hotels du Parc" - my boyfriend's family and I visited for a wedding in town and we were able to take advantage of a group rate of $100/night. I stayed three nights in this hotel - two with a party of 4 and one with just the two of... More

I have been to Quebec on a number of occasions and have stayed at several of the small townhouse hotels that line the Jardins des Governeurs across from the Chateau Frontenac. Unfortunately, Manoir Ste-Genevieve was the most tired of the bunch. Peeling wallpaper, tiny bathroom (I am tall and could barely fit in with the door closed), century-old drapes, saggy... More

If you are wanting something romantic that will take you back in time. This hotel is for you. I felt like I had reverted back to the elegance of the 1800's. The lobby is like nothing but pure elegance beginning with the wood and elegant stairway upon entering. The room made me thing of the old days even though the... More

Arriving in Quebec City without reservations in the late afternoon of June 16th, we stopped in the upper old city section inquiring about lodging. It took only a short while to find the Manoir Ste-Genevieve. The manager was wonderful and cheerful as she checked all her inventory for several B&Bs to find us 3 rooms for 3 couples. Her English... I go to Quebec frequently, and generally avoid the higher priced hotels in favor of a less pricey and more personal experience. Au Manoir St Genevieve has a great location on a quiet street a block away from Terrace Duffferin and the Chateau - couldn't be better. It's a fine old house, possibly once serving as lodging for military officers... More

We followed Fodor's recommendation for a "quaint and elaborately decorated" hotel and booked 2 rooms for 2 nights at the Manoir St. Genevieve (Aug 11 & 12, 2004). We stayed for only 1 night and were lucky to find another hotel at the Chateau Bellevue for the following night. Room #1 is right to the left as you walk into... More
