This hotel gives you the feel of the real Old Quebec .It's about 180 years old. No elevators for those with mobility issues. The best rooms are front with the balconies overlooking the St. Laurence River. The old town is within a walking distance. We never used our car . The restaurant 1640 is great for breakfast, front terrace in... More

My family and I stayed here for 2 days and we loved it. The suite we rented was like an apartment...kitchen, living room, bedroom...amazing. Our suite also had a view of the St. Lawrence which was beautiful. Never mind the negative reviews. There is wifi (worked great) there is air conditioning (we had to turn it off at times) and... First day..up 4 flights... No air conditioning. Not a great beginning. No Wifi..no phone..eek! What if there was a need for immediate assistance. That night spoke with the male employee. Said that we indeed had phone and Wifi. Actually argued with my husband about this. Wow! The one plus was the location and the history. Had a great 2nd day.... More

We really wanted to LOVE this hotel! We had friends who stayed in 2013 and thought it was really quaint- so we had high hopes. We were warned about no elevator- so the stairs were no problem. We were also prepared for some noise given it was Fete Nationale. We checked in and went to our room on the 4th... More

This hotel is 200 years old and it shows. However, it is very well kept, clean and as good as you can keep it for it's age. The staff are very couteous and helpful. Best of all is the location! You cannot beat it. It is next to walking distance from Old Quebec and some wonderful streets. Right next to... More

My friends and I were looking for a suite in Quebec City. We stumbled across this place and instantly fell in love. I've seen this building from NY previous trips but never took the time to check it out. Thank god I did this time, its in an amazing location, and if you get a room that faces the river,... More

The hotel is very cozy and it is an 18 century construction, which makes the place very special. There is no elevator so if you stay on one of the top floors you are going to have to use the stairs. The only problem we had was with parking because the parking space for the hotel is very limited and... More

As this is an old building there are no lifts but the hotel makes you aware of this before you book. The number of stairs can be an issue when carrying heavy cases. If you have a mobility problem ensure that you are given a room on the lower floors. The rooms at the front have a magnificent view over... More

It is very cozy Hotel, the attendant is very friendly and you can visit almost all walking from there. The price is really nice too. It was the best cost-benefit hotel that I have visit here in Canada.

We just spent three days at this funky hotel. It is cozy, warm and friendly. Riverview rooms offer nice views, but get one of the four rooms with balcony to really enjoy your stay! Quebec is a great walking city, and Chateau de la Terrasse is a great home base. If you pay cash for the room, your continental breakfast... More
