I read older reviews by guests who were disappointed with room size and location in the hotel. I will say that my wife and I were pleased with our choice to upgrade from the conference rate room, which placed us in the newer section. Our room faced the park, had 2 queen beds, was well appointed and spacious, very clean,... more

A very nice lobby greets you, and a courteous and helpful staff. Room itself was small, but adequate for 2. Everything functioned perfectly. Does need some updating to furnishings, tvs, but in the care and cleaniness of the room this hotel delivers. Rooms were well kept, beds firm and sheets crisp. Bathrooms very clean. In room amenities a bit skimpy... more

The staff was absolutely wonderful and was able to help us even though our French was not perfect. The salt water pool was not huge but was never crowded as my wife and I swam for over an hour with the pool to ourselves. Sauna was very nice as well. Could not beat the location just outside the old city... more

Stayed for four nights. The hotel rooms, though small, were very comfortable, and the hotel quite clean and well kept. Also, the location was PERFECT. It is a little ways from the shopping district, but right next to Old Quebec and the Plains of Abraham. We were able to walk almost everywhere. The staff was very courteous. If I could... more

What a wonderful hotel. If you don't have the money to stay right in the old city at a 4 star + hotel, stay here! When they say it is a 5 minute walk to the old city walls, they are right - it might even be less. It is located right across from the Plains of Abraham. We got... more

This hotel has had mixed reviews here, but our experience was almost wholly positive. Our room overlooked the park, was very spacious with two double beds, and adequately rather than luxuriously appointed, with a perfectly good bathroom. It was clear from the floor plan on the door that rooms on the other side of the corridor were considerably smaller, so... more

Made a late booking to attend a conference, and this was all I could get. Tiny room, with barely room to move round. The place is a rabbit warren of corridors and lifts connecting several old houses on Grand Allee Not difficult to see why Fairmont got rid of this and kept their other hotel in the city. Good buffet... more

I thought the price quoted was too good to be true for a 4 star hotel. The location is fantastic, with everything in Old and New Quebec City within walking distance. At check in (seeing we were staying there for several nights) the staff advised that we had been reserved a room adjacent to some big heating fans. She promptly... more

We booked two economy rooms at Chateau Laurier. The first was a very small room on the second floor (259) overlooking the A/C equipment. The machinery was within arm's reach of the window & very noisy. After a lengthy discussion with the front desk, we were transferred to another room that was also small and dark but overlooked the courtyard.... more

Enjoyed the perfect location and beautiful views of the hotel which is nestled between the old part of town, bustling Grande Allée and the Plains of Abraham. Our well-appointed picturesque room faced George V Square and we enjoyed the festivities staged there to celebrate Quebec's 400th anniversary. more
