We stayed at Le Grande-Allee during Fete d'ete Quebec. The hotel was perfect. Step outside the front door and there are many great bars and restaurants; step out the back and you have quick access to the Plains of Abraham (where we attended the Rolling Stones concert!) -- either route provides you with an easy (and beautiful) walk to Old... We had a room that was at ground level and had windows on the street : surprise never heard anything. Fabulous location, helpful staff and inexpensive parking. We will be back. Good breakfast with lots of choice and kind service.

Stayed two nights to visit old Quebec with the wife. Room was updated as was the rest of the property. This is an older building so and it has lots of character. We would definitely stay again. If you're looking for a 5 star hotel this is not for you. The doors use keys instead of cards. They don't have... More

I stayed for two nights with my sister in a twin double room. On arrival had parking and other logistics explained. Be warned like other reviews there is no lift and no assistance to help you get your baggage up the stairs. Corridor outside the room lovely and cool. The room however was a completely different story. In a rush... More

The room was comfortable and renovated. Although, it was very noisy, we could hear lots of sounds from other rooms, like bathroom, doors closing, etc. There is no elevator, we had to carry our heavy luggage on the stairs. The free-wifi signal was awful!!!

This hotel is right in the centre of party central. You will hear everything if your room faces the street. The building is very old, so the floors and stairs squeak loudly. We were disappointed the front desk did not warn us that we would be kept up by the drunk revellers well into the night. There is no on-street... More

This is an old (historic)hotel. My room was nicely furnished but small, on 2nd floor, no elevator.Walls are very thin-all noises from adjoining rooms quite loud. Wall AC unit was noisy.Paid $23.00 a day to park my car in the rear of the building. Breakfast is $10-did not try it. The location is great- 10 minute walk to old town... More

Very reasonable price and terrific location. The rooms are small, and there is nowhere in the bathroom to put your stuff, but other than that it suited our needs. I was glad we were in room 3000. top floor and facing the back, so probably quieter than the street facing rooms. You're right in the middle of the action. A... More

This is a nice little hotel that is away from most tourists and close enough to walk everywhere. There are lots of restaurants around so staying in a room away from the front walk might be smart (I did not stay in the front but heard no noise from the back). Room was an actual suite (two completely separate rooms... More

This hotel is run like a small independent hotel. Not all "superior rooms" are created equal and anything but superior in size. The front desk we dealt with did not know the rooms or the offerings. When asked about Air Conditioning, we were told to "open the windows", because they didn't know whether the room had AC and if so,... More
