We stayed 2 nights on a Jonview coach tour and thought the hotel excellent value for money. It really is in an ideal spot and the city is within easy walking distance. Some travellers have warned about the noise from Grande Allee and, although it was intrusive, it was certainly not overpowering, even though we slept at the front. The... more

We stayed for 6 days and enjoyed our visit. The hotel is in the heart of the nightclub district and a pleasant 15-20 min walk to the old city. The only downside to the hotel for us was the loud music coming from the nightclub across the street. The hotel has double pane windows and heavy curtains, but you could still... more

We stayed at the Grande Allee 9/22-9/26 and would definitely go back. The location was a little further than we wanted to stay, but we like to walk, so it worked out fine. The staff were exceptional....very friendly and helpful. Our room was small and a little too warm, but VERY clean. Breakfast was good....we are not big breakfast eaters,... more

Room was decent enough. Pretty much as pictured. Cute, but not amazing. However, the tub had some icky looking mold growing here and there. The beds were hard as rocks and if that wasn't bad enough our room was on the first floor near the reception desk. TERRIBLE. noisy all night so that it was impossible to sleep and to... more

We had hoped to book 4 nights at another hotel, but they were only able to accomodate us for 2 nights, so we looked for an alternative, and booked 2 nights in at Hotel Chateau Grande-Allee. We were both pleased and unhappy... First of all, the hotel is in walking distance of anywhere you want to walk. Very convenient location.... more

This hotel is a great place to stay for those on a budget. We paid only $139. per night plus $12. for onsite parking (you have to leave your car keys at the front desk because the lot is small and cars are double and triple parked). It's on a very charming stretch of the Grande Allee with lots of... more

The Chateau Grande Allee is a nice little hotel, very well situated. Its near good restorants and is a perfect spot if you want to enjoy Quebec City nightlife. Its also a short walk to the Old City. The Rooms was charming (European Style) with brick walls and a big bathroom. The Breakfast is not much but does the job!... more

If you're traveling on a budget, this is the hotel you'll want. The receptionists are very responsive, and the location is perfect - it's only a few minutes from all of the major sites. They even cleaned off my car overnight after about a foot of snowfall. The complimentary breakfast was good and the late checkout (noon) was also great.... more

We stayed here for the Winter Carnival. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were private, quiet and nice! The breakfast was perfect. The location was also very good. The only thing is make sure you tell the hotel you want parking because the lot is small. more

My stay at the Chateau Grande Allee was fantastic! The location of it was in my opinion one of the best streets within the old city walls. Everything was in very close proximity, especially dining which could be found right outside the door. The variety of dining was great. I highly recommend for breakast the Cosmos Cafe which i believe... more
