This was a most amazing experience! I had no idea what to expect or how staying at the hotel actually worked, despite the photos. My mom and I stayed here one night. We arrived in winter coats, boots, gloves, and hats, "checked in," and put our belongings in a storage locker. Then we set out to tour the ice hotel.... More

The only ice hotel in North America is a Must See location. Located 15 minutes north of Quebec City at the base of the Laurentian Mountains accessible by a shuttle from downtown hotels, bus or taxi. This ice hotel made of 15,000 tons of snow/ice and is an an awesome architectural wonder! The arched entrance leads to an ice fantasy... More

This is a once in a lifetime experience, however we were happy with only the complete guided tour - my husband and I are from Northern Ontario and did not feel a need to stay overnight somewhere with no heat. We met a couple who had spent the night, having gotten a deal from a travel website, but they looked... More

Hi everyone, My lovely wife decided to check one of our bucket list items off and booked us in for 'one night' at L'Hotel de Glace, a short drive from Quebec City. I use the parentheses because you really only have access to your room for 12 hours (max), more on that later... It truly is an incredibly unique, and... More

Husband and i stayed for a night during a wk long xc ski trip. Bring a bathing suite for the hot tub and flip flops for the walk back to the showers. I suggest to bring extra candles, once the ones they provide go out the humidity makes the "room" cold at about 4am. Once inside your sleeping bag its... More

We stayed one night in a themed suite at the Hotel de Glace, as part of s package we purchased with dog sledding and a secondary hotel room at the nearby Four Points. Our suite was absolutely jaw dropping - beautiful sculptures, carvings and artwork. Hotel staff were great and the Nordic spas were a treat! We took a tour... More

Several years ago, I read and article about the Hotel de Glace and have been dreaming of staying there ever since. Because we live about 2,000 miles away from Hotel de Glace, it took us a few years to get there. It was certainly worth the trip! The hotel is beautiful. It is a photographer's dream come true in both... More

We were a group of four 60+ year old Southern women working on our Bucket Lists. The Ice Hotel sounded like a unique choice .... and it was! Unused to such cold temperatures, we carefully followed the advise from the Ice Hotel's literature regarding what we needed to pack to stay warm in Quebec (March) as well for our night's... More

Adrenaline pumping all the time! Amazing time at the Hotel De Glace and let me tell you - It is friggin' cold! I went there on a Wednesday - hotel was fully booked. Staff was very friendly. Also, there is a mandatory orientation that was very helpful and gave tips on how to stay warm the whole night. The carving... More

This is much more than a hotel.....it's an experience. Make sure that you check in earlier in the day so that you get a chance to explore other people's rooms and you get to participate in the informational guided tour. We really enjoyed a midnight snowshoe trek throughout the property and even if you don't drink, the bar is a... More
