We've been to several fancy hotels in Paris, Rome and Hamburg, Germany, last year, but haven't been treated as warm and welcome in any of them. Most of all none of these hotels could offer such a wonderful breakfast! The room was spacious and clean and friendly. Very quiet (we were able to sleep with open windows). The hotel staff... more

The hotel we in a great location for walking Quebec City. Staff was friendly and professional (although the staff couldn't save the dinner we had at the hotel's St James restaurant...not very good). The pool more than made up for it, however; it was perfect, especially for families with children. We hope to get back to beautiful Quebec City soon,... more

We loved this hotel and will stay here again when we return to Quebec City. We spent four nights. The location is the best--within the walled city near excellent restaurants on the rue St. Jean as well as a short walk to the Fairmont Frontenac. One of the things we love about this city is that you can walk everywhere... more

but I found this hotel to be dull and depressing. The staff were okay........ there was not a bar for the residents of the hotel only a very noisey bar/restaurant open to the general public as well. The hotel did have a restaurant of its own but this seemed lifeless as well as expensive. more

My wife and I just stayed at the Manoir Victoria and booked what they called their best room (an outdated suite) for 5 days @ $400 nite. We booked the hotel based upon recommendations by both Fodors and Frommers Travel Guides. However, we were most disappointed in the service of the hotel. If you want a nonexistent concierge who is... more

Located on a side street just off the main shopping street in Vieux Cite, the Manoir Victoria was a well-appointed and comfortable hotel with a very attentive and courteous staff. I cannot comment on either the food or the spa, as I did not partake of either, but the room was spacious, beautifully situated with a fine view over the... more

The hotel was very nice, and aside from a stained facecloth was most clean, with very comfortable beds (we had the standard, no upgrade). We got a reasonably good rate off the internet. But in the morning, we were in a bit of a rush, and opted for the buffet breakfast. Don't. It was absolutely aweful. Coffee tasted like instant,... more

This was the first time we stayed in the walled city. Aside from trying to figure out how to get to the hotel since St. Jean St. was closed due to the Festival d'Ete, everything else was as we were told. We really liked the location and comfortable room. Valet parking was key - staff was really pleasant and helpful.... more

Stayed here for 2 days on a short trip to Quebec city. As it was raining heavily the day we arrived it was the perfect opportunity to sample the leisure facilities and relax in the pool for a while. Our room was lovely with and comfortable with great views of the city. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was... more

Excellent hotel. Great location in Old Quebec means you can leave the car in the valet parking the whole time. Salt water swimming pool with warm water was a favourite with the kids. Staff always friendly and helpful. Dinner at Table du Manoir Victoria enjoyable - great food & service (except for the ice cream for the kids, which had... more
