I stayed there three nights this July because I was in town for the FEQ and hotels are so expensive during this time of the year that I decided to stay at the Résidences de l'Université Laval. Upon my arrival, I was nicely greeted at what I guess I should call the "front desk". The room was what I expected:... More

I booked 1 bed single room with shared bathroom but I got 2 beds instead, which I don't mind. The room was OK and clean, and so was the shared bathroom. There weren't that many people on my floor when I stayed here, so I don't have any complaints about any disturbing noises. Staffs were really friendly, explained everything I... More

I stayed in the short term housing for 2 nights whilst in Quebec City. The rooms were average, the shared bathrooms weren't bad. The friend I was staying with left his ipod behind. When we tried to get them to ship it back to Australia where we live, they said it had to go to somewhere in Canada. Luckily we... More

If you come to see the city, go to the festivals and street performances and you do not have expectations about your room, then it will be a best option for you. This is typical room in a residence- not a typical comfortable hotel room. I had shared shower and washroom. Also, there is a shared kitchen available. The biggest... More

As I write, there are two positive reviews that describe these residences very well. I wished that I had spent a little more to get a private bathroom, but you get what you pay for. The friendliness was indeed very good. The bus service from the front door goes not only to Vieux Québec, but one line goes to les... More

We stayed there for a night. When we booked the accommodation it was described that it is a student dormitory and during summer it is open for everyone. So it was that what we expected. Our room was good, there were desks, chair and a small fridge in the room. The room and the bathroom was clean. We rented a... More

We stayed here 4 nights in a 6 week holiday in Canada and it was the worst accommodation of all that we were in. The rooms were very small, lino on the floor (not clean), beds primitive and uncomfortable, no tea, coffee etc. Kitchen mostly closed. Shared bathrooms had most toilets out of order. Couldn't sleep at night because of... More

I decided to study French this summer in Quebec City. As I staying for a long period of time a hotel would be costly. As I am not staying too long, an apartment would not be appropriate. The residences at Universite Laval were suggested by my school. It is a dormitory. I took a private room with shared washrooms for... More

This is a great way to see Quebec City. University residences are always so clean and quiet in the summer. Huge room, free wifi, fridge microwave and our own bathroom. Bus was right outside the door, pub on campus. Free parking, it is really a great deal.

By the time you pay the taxes and the buses in and out of town it would have been better to stay in a hostel or B&B in the city. Although you can pay extra for breakfast, it is in the university canteen so not anything exciting. My sink was blocked, the towels were threadbare and the bed was more... More
