Augerge du Tresor is across a small park from the Chateau Frontenac. It is a lovely old building. The staff at the reception desk were very friendly and helpful. We opted for the Romance package, which was 248.00 and included an incredible 5 course gourmet meal plus bottle of wine, full breakfast the next morning, parking and the room. The... more

My classmates and I stayed in the Auberge du Tresor for our Grade 8 trip. I had an amazing time while i was there, the staff was very pleasent and helpfull towards us. I would recommend this hotel to many people if you aren't planning onspending 24/7 in your room. Although i did have a great time while there, i... more

We loved our stay in old Quebec City and the Auberge du Tresor added to the experience. It was right in the middle of it all and our room had a beautiful view of Chateau Frontenac. The staff were helpful and enjoyed a chat. We enjoyed breakfast in the restaurant downstairs for $AUS10 ea. The information bureau was next door... more

To make this short, the location is fabulous, can't beat that. If you want a room with a view you need to ask for one, otherwise you will get stuck with a view of a roof and pigeons. The room was renovated, we had our own bathroom, and it was clean and quiet. The check-out is 11:00 however they don't... more

I originally wanted to stay at a boutique hotel but couldn't afford the $200+ rates. This hotel was chosen based on other trip-advisor ratings and overall it was a good experience. Positive points: - LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION. To walk out of the door and see the chateau frontenac directed in front of you was amazing. Just steps to the information... more

This auberge deserves 5-stars for its location. If you like being in the center of action, this corner spot is perfect. It faces the Chateau Frontenac across Place d’Armes and is next to the Info Tourist Bureau, the Musee du Fort, the funicular and the casse-cou stairs that lead to the lower level, as well as the Terrasses Dufferin that... more

Overlooking the Chateau Frontenac sure beats being in it and paying $350 per night !! We paid less then that for three nights at the Auberge. This hotel is JEWEL...perfect location for exploring Old Quebec. Near funicular to downtown and close to waterfront. Mr. Cote is SO ADORABLE !!! He is the front desk manager and is very friendly, always... more

My husband, my son and I visited Quebec City for only two days, with one day devoted only to the Old Quebec. I wanted a hotel reasonably priced with easy access to Old Quebec without the hassle of driving in from outside. When I found the Auberge du Tresor, I read the reviews and they were overall positive, so I... more

The room was really nice, looked fairly recently refurbished, and looked out on the street and part of the chateau; the location great, close to downtown, the chateau, the citadel, etc. But the room (room 20 had a really funny smell.) If you go there, ask for a room that doesn't have a bad smell. more

My wife and I chose this little hotel from a tourist magazine ad, because it was centrally located to all the sites we hoped to visit in old Quebec City. We had some concerns, never having stayed in such a small and old hotel, but all our fears immediately evaporated the moment we checked in. Service at the front desk... more
