This hotel was located in the heart of Old Quebec City, nestled among art galleries and many restaurants. The service was outstanding. The small extra touches Hotel Dominion provide made us feel spoiled; the 24/7 espresso machine (believe me we used it), free bottled water, high speed internet and wonderful concierge. We definitely will stay here again. The continental breakfast... more

My partner and I stayed at the Dominion for 5 nights May 30-June 4. The reservations were handled via email and was perfectly executed. Checkin at 2am was no surprises and we given the best room available. We loved the high ceilings and old age (buy very clean with some modernization). The location is right in the middle of a... more

The best thing I can say is that the staff was very nice. The rooms need updating. The hotel was clean but there was mold in the bathroom tiles and I could see paint peeling off. Although the rooms were large it was simply furnished and the ceiling was painted dark, dark carpets, dark blinds – felt like a cave.... more

Very pleasant and comfortable hotel on a quiet street in the lower Old Town Quebec - just a few minutes walk from Place Royale and the funicular to the upper Old Town inside the walls. Excellent cold buffet breakfast, although on crowded days it can be hard to find a palce to sit and eat it. Rooms are stylish and... more

Fine location in the lower town but away from the noisier tourist parts. Easy 10 minutes stroll from the train station along an interesting street. The combined reception, bar, breakfast/lounge is full of comfy sofas and tables packed close together. Novel at first, but not when filled with a large group of guests at breakfast time crowding out the place.... more

The Hotel Dominion is a real hidden gem in Quebec City. We stayed in a phenomenal room on the 5th floor and out of the hundreds of hotels I've been to this place is the best. We arrived late because of flight delays and thought we would miss dinner. Upon arrival, the front desk attendant secured late night (after 10pm)... more

Very well located, this hotel is very unique, the atmospher in the lobby is very relax and the decoration is very nice too with the large fireplace and... more

We spent four nights at the Dominion in late November to celebrate my husband's birthday, and were fortunate to have a not too chilly, snowy, pleasant stay. The location is superb - in the old port, close to many fine restaurants, but not right on top of the touristy gift shops (though they are a short walk away). We walked... more

Check in was easy and the staff spoke English which was helpful. We were given our room key along with information and maps of the city. I was in the older side of the hotel but you would not know it was old. The room was very simple and cozy but spacious. The bed, pillows and linens were extremely comfortable.... more

My wife and I had a reat room overlooking the river. The staff were charming and a great help with suggestions on places to see and where to eat. I loved the coffee machine in lobby, the informal buffet breakfast and the relaxing fireplace where you could sip a glass of wine (not necessarily at breakfast though). I'd go back... more
