Cons : Rooms are very tiny with too much stuff to fill them which make them look smaller. Shower was unstable so the water was too hot or too cold. Room was smelling bad eggs when we got in, we had to ask for room exchange. The new room was deadly cold and temperature was tough to adjust. The bed... more

We wanted to see Quebec City in winter and couldn't have chosen a better located hotel than the Clarendon. It's on Rue Ste. Anne which is one street down from the popular Rue St. Louis and many other sites. In fact, the Chateau Frontenac looms in the near distance and actually one gets a better view of it from the... more

WE were impressed- especially for the low rate we got. So convienent to all around in the city. Close to a great little store that had nice wines (Richard's) and other goods. Loved the restaurant & bar. Reminded me of a quaint place we stay in the french quarter in New Oleans! I think it is worth staying with the... more

I booked this hotel thru a hotel discount website and got a very good rate on a room with a queen bed. The location of the hotel is perfect, it is right in the middle of old Quebec and walking distance to everything. They also have an underground parking lot in front of the hotel. You have the option of... more

This is just a warning of the despicable practices of this hotel. I reserved this hotel for the weekend of October 25th, well in advance through priceline.com. I had confirmed the room over the phone and was excited for my stay. However, when we arrived at the hotel on the night of the reservation, in the pouring rain, we were... more

You couldn't ask for a better location smack in the middle of old Quebec, walking distance to everything. It's the sort of old fashioned North American city hotel that are sadly going extinct. It has lovely art nouvea/art deco common areas and a good old fashioned bar. My room was tiny but spotless and comfortable. Same for the bathroom. The... more

Great stay at a great location. Room was nice, parking was close by though somewhat pricey -- but I think about average for the area. Really easy to walk to EVERYTHING in Vieux Quebec. Wonderful shower with great water pressure! We were only there for one night, but we had a great time at this hotel. more

Excellent location and got a great rate through priceline. Central to everything in old Quebec we walked and walked. Breafast in not included ($11 buffet) and neither is parking (public underground). Room was very clean and updated. The bar is ok and the restaurant was very good. more

We stayed two nights, in Oct. 08, in a twin room on the fifth floor. Had magnificent views from the two windows in the room, a large, spotless bathroom, all in a very classy decor. I've posted a few pics. Clarendon is a one of a kind, charming hotel. With a beautiful Art nouveau reception, a jazz lounge and many... more

The hotel has the best location a wandering tourist could ask for in QC. It's right in the middle of everything. The pricetag is a little on the steep side though. The hotel was renovated sometime in the past few years, but the construction techniques applied there would not fly at my house (windows painted shut, shabby tile work, etc)!... more
