The day I arrived there was no one to help with luggage, I had to carry my on luggage to my room. At the reception I was provided the keys but there was no identification check with photograph, security was pretty lapse. When I went to the room I was shocked to see the size. They barely managed to fit... More

You know a great hotel makes your trip more pleasant. Hotel Claredon is one of those. After looking at other contributors' photos, I thought it is an old hotel. I was wrong. The hotel is well-kept and stylish. We checked in at around 4pm and were explained that they are cleaning our room because they just fixed the air-conditioning. It... More

Inflexible regarding check in time. All guests as far as I could tell were told check in was 4.00pm. It was a Sunday and lots of new guests arriving so at 4.00pm we anticipated that there would be a large queue. We left our suit cases with concierge. We spent the afternoon exploring the lovely city and checked in around... More

I stayed there only 1 night for the festival d été de québec. My room was amazing. staff were really nice. perfect location in the old québec. I had breakfast the next morning. Food was very good! I stayed at chateau Frontenac before and my room was even nicer then the chateau.

This is the oldest hotel in Quebec City and is really in the heart of it all. Just steps away from the Chateau Frontenac and the Dufferin Terrace, make the Clarendon a worthwhile hotel to consider. As well, the room I stayed in had been recently renovated, and was comfortable. The front staff are courteous and helpful, and I appreciated... More

This quaint, beautiful hotel is perfectly located in the middle of Old Quebec. Parked under city hall across the street and walked through tunnel to connect to the hotel. We could walk to everything, which was perfect after a long day of driving. Room was decorated in the fashion one would expect in Old Quebec; beautiful architecture with attention to... More

One of the oldest hotels in Quebec City. Rooms a little small but very nice. The concierge staff were so nice and helpful..spoke French and English with ease. Located close to most attractions and food. Beautiful and charming.

The Clarendon is an older hotel in the heart of Vieux Quebec (the old city). The oldest part of the hotel dates from the 19th century, while the newer part from the earlier 20th century retains its Art Deco feel. Perhaps the best part of the Clarendon is what's left of its earlier bar, now a popular local jazz bar.... More

I stayed here in August 2014. The hotel lobby was in a perfect location in QC. Unfortunately our room was in an area that was very close to being above the bar and we had to hear the piano music and bar noise.

I agree with some other posts that this historic hotel is in a great downtown location, across from city hall and therefore the taxi rank. Hotel Frontenac and Dufferin Terrace are just around the corner as are other landmarks. I visited here as part of a bus tour, so am not aware of pricing. The small room was well appointed,... More
