All the elegance of the Frontenac but on a smaller scale. Perfect location for walking to all the sights. The room was beautifully furnished, quiet, clean, and comfortable. The staff was always pleasant and helpful. There were actually 2 men at the concierge desk at 8:00pm! We loved the old-world charm of the lobby, bar area, and restaurant. They have... More

Great location. Lovely old building but could do with some upgrading for 21st century. Awkward steps at entrance, old dodgy elevator, room a bit tired and certainly could have done with some information in the room even if it was just to say welcome and to instruct on how to access the hotel info on the TV. Staff pleasant though... More

Hands down best location for touring the very beautiful Upper and Lower Quebec City. We spent 2 nights there and was satisfied with the comfortable bed and wifi. Staff was very nice and spoke good English. Things they should improve on: bath towels are rather thin and not soft/ smooth. Also they should install a ramp at entrance and another... More

when I first arrived at the hotel I was underwhelmed by the reception area.the rooms were quite dated as far as the furniture goes in very small though the bed and the bedding were comfortable so that made me happy. we decided later in the evening to have a nightcap at the cocktail lounge located in the hotelit definitely needs... This location is the best part of the trip, you can get to wherever you want to be with ease. Room is a decent size with a big bathroom, tv, 2 chairs, couch, desk, Keurig coffee maker and 2 double beds. The breakfast in the hotel was decent and the staff is pleasant and helpful. We do not speak French... More

I have stayed in more than 15 hotels in North America over the last six months and I can confidently say that this is by far the worst that I have seen. Everything is overused and not working properly, from the coffee machine to the bathroom lights to the tub drain !! The sink is not draining properly, the room's... More

The hotel has character in a city that is full of interesting things to see and do. It is located in the Upper Town so is a little distance from the train station but ideal for the 'hop-on - hop-off' bus and the tourist sights. A range of restaurants is close to hand, but the food in the hotel is... More

Hotel Clarendon was great location for a walking holiday..no car needed. The hotel rooms are on the smaller size but it is a very old hotel. The beds were great as were the linens and the staff was exceptional! The rooms were very quiet. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

My first impression to this Clarendon was "Wow! It really looks old!" No matter the outlook of the hotel and the interior design, it was like pulling you back to the 50s! Although it looks old but not old-fashioned. I especially like the hotel lobby. The front office staff has given me some free postcards of the hotel! Rooms are... More

clean, standard-level hotel with old-style ambience that makes it all worthwhile. perfect location for those who want to focus on old city and absorb what it has to offer (this was my fourth visit to city). recommend the friday/sat music, with a warning: it's more hotel cabaret than the advertised "jazz". comfortable bed.

Dear guest, Thank you for your review. We are glad you enjoyed your stay at the Clarendon. Our Jazz themed nights are different every week, so it is possible that some artists are less "jazzy" than other. Our website, as well as our Facebook page, always has information about the upcoming artist if you need more information prior to your... More
