We love the Chateau Frontenac and found this a good year to stay with special rates in effect. We had a lovely room with a view of the river. Our one complaint would be the food in the bar. We decided to have a light meal in the bar one evening and ordered $22 burgers, We assumed we were paying... more

We were welcomed with an upgrade to the 15th floor...Fairmont Gold level...unbeknownst to us as why!!! This gave us the best Concierge Level service on the 14th floor with free breakfast, internet and h'ors d'oerves from 5-7 pm with an honor bar for happy hour!!! The staff speaks perfect English, but works with you if you wish to try out... more

The hotel's website and marketing materials say it is the most photographed hotel in the world. Once you see it, you'll know why. The old part of Quebec is itself a fairy tale setting and this hotel is essentially the King's castle. It is very big which means there are a lot of people staying there (including kids on end-of-the-year... more

We stayed 4 nights in a studio room at the Chateau Frontenac. We paid about $40 more per night than a regular room but it was so worth it. While the maid was cleaning, I peeked into some of those regular rooms and they can be tiny or odd shaped. The studio at 550 sq feet was much larger. The... more

We just spent our 40th anniversary there, and it was even better than we expected. It's a beautiful, old hotel and city. Endless, fascinating walks in the city. Friendly, helpful staff at the hotel and in all the restaurants and shops in the old city. The Chateau is a jewel, beautiful to see from all over the city, tastefully opulently appointed,... more

We had a wonderful stay at the Chateau. My husband and I were looking for a quick weekend getaway that offered a total change of scenery. We decided on Quebec City for its culture, museums, walkability, and because we had never been there before. I reluctantly upgraded to a concierge level room, known in Fairmont parlance as a Gold Floor.... more

My husband, daughter and I had never been to Canada and chose Quebec City to celebrate my 50th and my daughter's 19th birthdays. We splurged on our rooms.....suite 1201/1202...absolutely beautiful! Our room was large, with a king bed, sitting area, small marble bathroom with all the amenities and a nice view of the St. Lawrence river. My daughter's room was... more

My husband and I got a great deal on hotels.com to stay here, and we are so glad we did. The hotel itself is beautiful, and it is in the heart of the old city. The scenery was spectacular, and the staff was extremely helpful. The only downside is all of the extra fees for things that are included at... more

This is a hotel with character. It is not a glamorous new hotel. It is an old, charming hotel which feels like it could have ghosts roaming it's halls. It's a beautiful hotel from it's grand exterior to it's quaint interior. We went to celebrate our engagement and it was just perfect. The restaurant was amazing. We have been to... more

Stayed in February...bitterly cold of course. But this hotel is incredible, as are all the old CP Hotels. The room was great, very well appointed, with French colonial style bedding. Flat screen TV, lots of room, and a nice bathroom. I needed a fan and they accommodated easily. Because it's a castle, it's a bit of a maze, but that's... more
