We love staying in B&B when away from home mostly because we enjoy meeting different people and having home cooked meals. This one delivered all those, plus bonus - Beautifully situated at the bank of Lac-Saint-Charles about 20 minutes from the Quebec City center. Linda doesn't speak much English and we don't speak French, somehow we understood each other very... More

We have stayed at many Bed and Breakfasts all over and Linda and Pierre's Gite du Hu-Art was tops. We are having a hard time getting over jumping out of bed for the fabulous breakfasts we were growing used to eating daily. The directions to sites, knowledge of the area and suggestions for dinner were all very helpful. Peace and... More

We had just two nights and that was the only mistake I had made. Book at least 3 nights so you can go into the nature (canoes, kayaks from the house or a walk, drive) and take at least one day for visit the city of Quebec 15 minutes away. The B&B lays of the road (quiet sleeping) and at the... More

We appreciated the clean, warm atmosphere of the room and home. The place has a peaceful, nature-filled feel to it, and use of the canoe on the beautiful lake behind this B&B added to that. The breakfasts were scrumptious and filling, well prepared and well presented -- home cooked and lots of fresh fruit + smoothies! The atmosphere was quiet... More

Friendly small place. Located in a peaceful and natural area. If you like nature, this would be an ideal place for you. The hosts were friendly. Breakfast was nice. From the house you can walk to the lake. It was a nice stay there.

Linda, Pierre and their daughters are wonderful hosts. Linda is a magician with breakfast each day. Close to a variety of sites from hiking to the city. Our room was peaceful and the bed was super comfortable. Access to a pristine and quiet lake was just what we were looking for as it was great to return from busy days... More

We had a great stay. The house is set back from the road with lots of trees and birds. There is a short path to a boat dock where we borrowed a kayak. The lake is very quiet and big enough to get some exercise. The breakfast was the best! Fresh fruit smoothies and eggs benedict with more fresh fruit... More

We loved staying at Le Gite du Hu-Art! Pierre and Linda made our stay absolutely wonderful! When we arrived, Pierre greeted us and gave us plenty of ideas about where to go! This was our first time to Quebec, so this information came in very handy! The inn is approximately 15 - 20 minutes from the city, and we knew... More

We really enjoyed our stay! Our hosts (including their daughters) were very kind and helpful. We have so many memorable moments from our time here. From enjoying a bottle of wine on the dock and looking at the stars, to having a bonfire, and playing monopoly while doing our laundry. We stayed 3 nights in two rooms and enjoyed both.... More
