I booked this hotel through Expedia, and the reviews were good. I must say this hotel is a gem and so conveniently located if you are taking a cruise. We arrived in the afternoon, and our room was ready. Beautiful layout just like the photos. Clean and modern. The staff helped us book a quick tour and even suggested close... More

We decided we wanted to drive to Quebec City. Having done research on how driving/parking in the old city is a nightmare, we chose this hotel as it was easy to access and had on site parking. It worked out perfectly. We drove into the city and left the car at the hotel for two days. The hotel is easy... More

My husband and I just returned from a three night stay at Le Port Royal. This place is a great value in an expensive city. The hotel offers loft type rooms. Our spacious room had a queen sized bed, a kitchinette and sitting area. The only downside was that there was only a tiny closet and a couple of tiny... More

We absolutely loved this hotel. We needed an accessible suite which was provided. Very clean. We would certainly stay there again. Loved having a full kitchen, the master king bed was 5 star. The exposed brick wall gave the suite charm and character.

We stayed for 4 nights on our first visit to Quebec. It's in a ideal location in the historic area of the city. Our room was small but had cooking facilities (although we couldn't a supermarket to buy food) and was clean and comfortable. There is a laundry on-site which is a god-send if you are travelling for a long... More

Thought this was exactly what we wanted for a hotel and stayed there this past week as did our daughter and husband. We had great rooms with upscale furniture, top floor facing the city, and front desk very helpful, arranging a room change we did not ask for so both families on same floor. Had a microwave problem and a... More

One night stay. This hotel seems to suffering an identity crisis. Trying to keep up appeareances, but it is tired on the inside and out. Our room had a glorious view of a petrol station. Located on the outskirts but reasonably close to good restaurants and not too far from all the other tourist attractions. Front staff were efficient but... More

This was our second trip to Quebec city. Our first trip was years ago and in the off season. This time my wife and I had decided to drive up from Montreal in August and the hotel we stayed at last time was booked so we tried the Port-Royal. We tried to book online with a discount offered on their... More

There were 7 couples that needed a hotel for our first night off the ship after our cruise. I looked at many hotels online and decided on Le Port Royal! We all loved the hotel. It is in an excellent location for access to the town, restaurants, the train station and the ship port. The rooms were all clean and... More

We found Le Port Royal kind of by accident and what a find it was. Located at the base of the Lower City in Old Quebec, it is both removed from the "hussle bussle" but literally just steps away from everything. We had a corner room so you might expect some street noise - late night revelers, etc but it... More
