My girlfriend and I travelled to Quebec City for one night a couple days ago. It was our first time in Quebec City, and we didn't have much time to give up therefor we decided to only stay one night close to the town . We chose this hotel without checking trip advisor … what a mistake. All of the... More

The service was mediocre . The room was been repaired. The sleep quality was quite bad (very bad mattress). The door of the bathroom did not close. And noise from the outside. The best things were the location and the breakfast (although there was no choice).

Upon arrival and seeing our room, under-impressed , would be the reaction. However: the hotel (actually more like a bed and breakfast) is really not a bad stay. The owner/receptionist/cleaner/cook (one-man show) went out of his way to be helpful. No TV (sports nut hubby not happy until internet savvy children rescued him--and the internet connection is good) but beds... More

I booked this hotel before reading the reviews on trip advisor. It was then too late to cancel so I thought I'd give it a go. I stayed in the room Raugot which was the two bedroom suite (I stayed with my teenage son so we needed two beds). Since it was off season I got a great price so... More

An "interesting" place to stay but very overpriced and unwelcoming. The proprietor of L'Indendant makes Basil Fawlty seem like a normal likeable guy !! The proprietor is obnoxious, rude, unhelpful, sarcastic, unpleasant, awkward and a bit frightening. We were on the 2nd floor and the stairs are very steep and quite narrow. He did not help with my luggage but... More

This would be THE WORST hotel IN THE WORLD!! ... no THE UNIVERSE!!! Just why Trip Advise make me give it one star I just don't know. If you are even mildly tempted to stay, before you do make sure that you read all the other one star reviews on this site because all of them are accurate. The man... More

I booked this hotel on a whim without reading these reviews. Glad I did...I really enjoyed my short stay. I arrived late, and checked out the next day. I would liked to have been there to see how the cafe was other than for breakfast. Speaking of which, I thought it was excellent. I am not a croissant fan, but... More

The hotel is barely tolerable. The manager (owner?) is intolerable especially if you do not speak French although that does not hold him back much. He throws things at guests and belittles them. The stated room tariff does not include taxes so the price you actually pay is much higher than indicated. I would never, ever go back. I would... More

The place is old and smells, very bad service. The man running the place is creepy, sneak up on people, making racial remarks. I agree with other reviews, it was really a terrible experience for me. I wish I read those reviews before I booked this "hotel". This place is not really qualified as hotel or bed and breakfast. It's... More

It was an experience that i will avoid in the future, unfriendly service, place is run down, leaky windows make uncomfortable when outside is -20 C. The internet is useless, it has a heavy firewall so you can only open Facebook on the ipad At the end of the weekend this guy refused to keep our lugage in the lobby... More
