Arrival went easily, instructions were provided before arrival. Room was pleasantly modern: 1 bedroom w/ sofa bed. Standing shower, full kitchen, dining space and sitting space. Climbing stairs with bags could be a challenge for some as they are outside and winding. Staff was great, attentive, pleasant and helpful. Not a hotel, no room service. Neighborhood was cool, lively (noisey... More

Travelers from out of state really rely on reviews when choosing lodging, so thanks to TripAdvisor we settled upon Loft Jacques-Cartier, and they did not fail to disappoint! Very easy to get to and the location is perfect. Every morning we went for a run down the beautiful and scenic Rue Duluth to Parc Mont-Royal and back, stopping for croissants... More

This place certainly did not disappoint. Although very snowy when we got there (and it seemed to be hard to find), it wasn't at all! Located a short bus ride away from the nearest metro station, it was close to everything - at a stunningly reasonable price. The apartment has a steep spiral suitcase on the outside (if you're staying... More

I stayed there with my husband and our 18th month old daughter for 6 nights and enjoyed everything about it. The apartment in sparkly clean and well situated in trendy Plateau Mont-Royal. Mio is very kind and was very helpful with us. We had to shorten the length of our stay and she kindly accepted and refund us. Just beware... More

These full size apartments are well located and have been done to a very high standard. Everything you could possibly want is included, with the kitchen in particular fully stocked for self catering. I slept better than I have in some years as the bed was so comfortable. It is close (walking distance) to a very reasonably priced restaurant district... More

(Écrivez-moi si vous avez des questions) I spent 6 nights, May 6 to 10, 2013 in apartment 4042. I loved everything about this place : It's a few seconds walk from Parc Lafontaine, a 3 min. drive to downtown, shopping on Mt-Royal street was the best ! The apartment has everything you need (cook, sleep, shower, rest, tv necessities). Bed... More

The apartment was perfect and comfortable. By far the best place we've stayed away from home. The owner was incredibly helpful and friendly. Its located on a relatively quiet street centrally located between all the cool spots in Montreal. We had a 10-15 drive to every place we wanted to see. Bixi bikes to rent were close as well as... I stayed twice at Loft J Cartier on the top floor and on the street floor. It is very convenient as I am coming for work in Montreal and my wife and son could enjoy the area. The apartments were different but very comfortable. The sofa bed is not that great but it would be the only minus. You have... More

We stayed a week. The apartment was well laid out for our family - we even had dinner guests one night. Very clean, recently renovated, very well furnished with everything we needed. Great location for getting around - quiet street very near but not in the midst of the action. Landlady delightful. Parking and air conditioning a true plus. landlady even... More

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighborhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colorful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
