This is the place to stay if you want to save a buck without sacrificing comfort and cleanliness. The decor is tasteful, yet artistic and eclectic. The service was warm and helpful. I'm not sure why the reviewers who mentioned the neighborhood being "sketchy" felt this way. Traveling with my 19-month-old daughter, I was a little nervous after reading those... more

We spent three nights and we really appreciated it. We recommend the room #8 with a bath tub. The location is perfect to visit the city and this B&B has a very pleasant porch outside for the breakfast. The boss will give you all the tips you need to know in order to get around quickly in the city and... more

My wife and I stayed a few days, and it was a great base to explore the city. It's located around the corner from the Berri-UQAM subway station, which can get you to Old Montreal, Saint Helene's Island, the Botanical Garden, the Olympic Park, and the trendy Plateau District in minutes. It's also across the street from a BIXI (bike... more

Le Simone is a great value, good location, ambience and character galore. Breakfast was tasty (they offered soy milk and healthy breads, which was appreciated), the staff was friendly and the room (no. 4) was cozy. I didn't want to leave and the owner was helpful with maps and recommendations. I would recommend this for couples, singles and friends traveling... more

You get more than what you pay for at this little b & b. Le Simon is a comfortable, friendly, clean and basic accommodation. The owner and workers were all friendly and helpful. Rooms and bathrooms were cleaned everyday. You can enjoy your breakfast out on the patio or in the kitchen. Toasts (sometimes pancakes/crepes), yogurt, juice (there was even... more

There is nothing special about this B&B. Very basic. The neighborhood is not attractive and is a bit sketchy. However, it is close to a large subway station. The B&B is very basic, the room we had isn't bad in terms of overall appeal. It has an exposed brick wall that is attractive and IKEA furniture. Room was generally attractive.... more

We really liked staying at Le Simone - staff were wonderful, cheery, gave us a great overview and map of the city when we first arrived. We didn't have much of an agenda so we used those recommendations for our four days in Montreal. Our room was small but clean, and the air conditioner was much appreciated in the 40+... more

Positive: The location is great! Its in walking distance to everything. Had to take the subway just once when we went to the Biodome. The owner and his staff are wonderful people, very friendly and very accommodating. The breakfast they served was simple (yogurt, OJ, croissants, toasts, yogurt, jam, cream cheese) but enough to fill you up. They also cooked... more

Positives: Le Simone's location is fantastic as it is in walking distance to all attractions within beautiful downtown. The staff was very helpful and attentive. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Caution!!!! For those who plan on booking a room at Le Simone, be aware that the block is filled with crackheads..When my fiance and I pulled up in... more
