This B&B is unique in Montréal: green, organic food, full ecological way of doing hospitality business. The B&B is really well located, in the Village, close to the main spots downtown Montréal and close to the metro network. It is a traditional Montréal building with the stairs in the front, Victorian style, very typical. Patryck is very easy going, lovely... More

This is an attractive place, but if you're looking for anything more... Than keep looking. We arrived at the place to be "greeted" by the owner who was interested only in processing the payment for the room, and who scoffed when I asked what time breakfast was served. "Breakfast? We don't serve breakfast here, but you can go there" he... More

At Atmosphere you have the choice to take a breakfast or not. When you reserve a room the option to include the breakfast or not in your package is clearly indicated. Why do we offer that choice? To improve the experience of our guests. Yes, some prefer to pay less and cook themselves as the kitchen here is available for... More

This is a very nice B&B (or just a B if you don't pay for breakfast) in a great Montreal suburb. We had an ensuite room and it was spacious and comfortable. There are only two practicalities to watch out for: 1. The B&B is essentially in a regular suburbian house, which, in Montreal, means rather steep staircases (even to... More

Thank you very much for your comment, specially about the parking, I couldn't do better. This way our guests will be fully aware before to come in our house because once they are arrived (if they come by car) I always take the time to explain it and make sure they are parked accordingly. We don't want them to get... More

There were 18 steel steep stairs leading up to the B & B. We cancelled our stay immediately upon arrival as there was no way we could go up them with luggage. This is not a hotel at all but a rented apartment unit that was converted to a B & B. The owners spoke French and very broken English.... More

Please read the terms and conditions and the polcies of the house. You approved them in the process of the reservation. For a last minute cancellation it's clearly indicated that the 1st night will be charged. The 1st picture shows clearly the stairs and it's also indicated in the description that the room is on the 3rd floor - no... More

I chose the property because it offers a convenient location in The Village; it was also supposed to offer "free parking nearby". The room looks modern and recently renovated; it is nice and comfortable; it was clean when we arrived. However, NO CLEANING or making up (at all) to the room and its private bathroom was made during our 4... More

Thank you guys for your review. It always help us to improve ourselves. Regarding the Free parking it's true that it's on the street. Here in Montreal (specially in downtown) we often find parking places ON THE STREET that you need to pay. For us, it's an advantage to park you car on the street with no fees. We are... More

Went for 2 nights, had the room with the on-suite, was very clean, and spacious. The award winning breakfasts were brilliant, the host doesn't do the same breakfast everyday, and both days was great quality and enjoyable. Will definitely stay there again when we return to Montreal.

The positives: interesting room, good bed with fan and good bathroom. Breakfast not included and not offered - why is it called a B&B? Nearest breakfast places are 2-3 blocks away - Dame Tartine pretty good. Factor in 20$ each. Wifi is next to useless. Lock on door did not seem very secure. Agree with earlier comments of cold welcome.... More

Thanks for your review but let me clarify something about what is mentioned here: 1- When you reserve, you all have the choice to take the breakfast or not. Why? Some people prefer to cook themselves and pay less or visit different restaurants while they are in Montreal. So it's up the client to take it 'a la carte' or... More

Atmosphere B & B is a lovely place to stay in a residential neighborhood of Toronto. Our room, Sensation, was large, clean, comfortable with its own large bathroom. The decor was tasteful and added to the ambiance. As others have said, there is a very steep flight of stairs to the front door and another steep flight of stairs to... More

Hi Thanks very much for your nice review. We always appreciate it. Just a note regarding the dishes and glasss, I can assure that it's a misunderstanding because our guests can take anything they need in the kitchen if they want to cook or just drink a good bottle of wine. What I meant is that it was not necessary... More

Great location on edge of city with free parking (except 1day per week). Four blocks' walk to green line subway. Nice big room and bed but note up one external and one internal steep stairs - probably difficult for Yanks but nae probs for us Scots. Very nice breakfast prepared by Patryck.

We stayed on August 2011 and I'd been nagging my girlfriend to review Atmosphere ever since. We travel from Puerto Rico and booked directly with Patrick (owner) by phone, which led to an interesting and funny exchange of french/spanish accents, since both parties were trying to speak english. Bottom line, everything was understood and our reservation was perfect. We stayed... More

Staying in The Village (Gay Village)

Neighborhood Profile
The Village (Gay Village)
The rainbow pillars of Beaudry Métro Station shepherd the way into to The Village, one of the largest hubs for gay and lesbian culture in North America. With an open layout and a congenial aura, the refurbished buildings along Rue Sainte-Catherine pay a special homage to menswear and to caffeine, with showrooms and cafes. By morning, the antiquing gems along Amherst Street are packed with collectors. An incredible party spot, The Village comes alive at night, when clubs, bars, and dance halls open their doors and the revelry is high, epitomized by the fanciful trimmings of the apropos Oscar Wilde building. From May to September, the area closes to automotive traffic, allowing restaurant terraces to pour onto the streets, creating a dynamic sense of community. Les Boules Roses, thousands of pink baubles, are hung to welcome in the festivals and celebrations, including Montréal en Arts, Divers-Cité, and the Pride Parade.
