Went for 2 nights, had the room with the on-suite, was very clean, and spacious. The award winning breakfasts were brilliant, the host doesn't do the same breakfast everyday, and both days was great quality and enjoyable. Will definitely stay there again when we return to Montreal.

The positives: interesting room, good bed with fan and good bathroom. Breakfast not included and not offered - why is it called a B&B? Nearest breakfast places are 2-3 blocks away - Dame Tartine pretty good. Factor in 20$ each. Wifi is next to useless. Lock on door did not seem very secure. Agree with earlier comments of cold welcome.... More

Atmosphere B & B is a lovely place to stay in a residential neighborhood of Toronto. Our room, Sensation, was large, clean, comfortable with its own large bathroom. The decor was tasteful and added to the ambiance. As others have said, there is a very steep flight of stairs to the front door and another steep flight of stairs to... More

Great location on edge of city with free parking (except 1day per week). Four blocks' walk to green line subway. Nice big room and bed but note up one external and one internal steep stairs - probably difficult for Yanks but nae probs for us Scots. Very nice breakfast prepared by Patryck.

We stayed on August 2011 and I'd been nagging my girlfriend to review Atmosphere ever since. We travel from Puerto Rico and booked directly with Patrick (owner) by phone, which led to an interesting and funny exchange of french/spanish accents, since both parties were trying to speak english. Bottom line, everything was understood and our reservation was perfect. We stayed... More

I stayed at the B&B Atmosphere, Montreal for 4 nights during the Montreal Formula 1 race in June 2014. I loved it!!! The rooms are very clean and nicely, yet simply decorated with beautiful HW floors. It was very quite and we rarely saw any of the other guests. There was never an issue getting access to the common bathroom and... More

I'm really surprised that so many people rate this place so highly. We spent a couple of nights here recently on our travels through Canada, and had what can be diplomatically described as very “mixed” experience. The B&B is in an excellent location: a stone's throw from Le Village and walking distance to the Old Town and many sights, yet... More

We had made a reservation based on our friends recommendation. It ends up that the B&B is located close by to a number of great neighborhoods that are within walking distance. The room with its own bathroom was very clean, modern, and tastefully furnished. The bed was super comfortable, slept like a dream. Breakfasts are a 3 course affair and... More

We can only say good things about this B&B and Patrick, the owner. The house is kept in impeccable conditions, the location is convenient, and Patrick's breakfasts are to die for. You need to have a great appetite to eat the 3-course breakfast, but it is so delicious that we always managed to finish every single dish. This is the... More

My partner and I spent 5 days in June with Patryck and we chose the "Sensation" room since it has a private shower/bathroom. From the time we checked in, Patryck showed us to our room, asked what time we wanted breakfast the following day and answered our questions and provided us brochures and helpful hints to get around. The location... More

Staying in The Village (Gay Village)

Neighborhood Profile
The Village (Gay Village)
The rainbow pillars of Beaudry Métro Station shepherd the way into to The Village, one of the largest hubs for gay and lesbian culture in North America. With an open layout and a congenial aura, the refurbished buildings along Rue Sainte-Catherine pay a special homage to menswear and to caffeine, with showrooms and cafes. By morning, the antiquing gems along Amherst Street are packed with collectors. An incredible party spot, The Village comes alive at night, when clubs, bars, and dance halls open their doors and the revelry is high, epitomized by the fanciful trimmings of the apropos Oscar Wilde building. From May to September, the area closes to automotive traffic, allowing restaurant terraces to pour onto the streets, creating a dynamic sense of community. Les Boules Roses, thousands of pink baubles, are hung to welcome in the festivals and celebrations, including Montréal en Arts, Divers-Cité, and the Pride Parade.
