I booked a room here after reading Trip Advisor reviews and I was delighted. I had a large room with two double beds, lots of wardrobe space and a very attentive front desk staff. I was given a voucher for $6 per day towards breakfast in the restaurant downstairs which had a large selection of all types of breakfast foods.... More

I booked this hotel on a trip to Montreal to check out the Jazz fest, do some shopping on St. Catherines St., and see the McGill campus. The location is superb as it is within walking distance to all three! The staff were super friendly and there are plenty of amenities close by such as the underground shopping mall with... More

For the location and price, this place was excellent. The room was spacious and comfy with all the typical hotel amenities: toiletries, ample closet space with hangers, ironing board, AC, and fast wifi. They give a $6 voucher per guest for breakfast in the dining hall. There's a Bixi station right across the street and an underground shopping center with... More

For the price (C$174/nights), you can have nicer hotels like the renovated Quality Inn Downtown(C$100/nights via booking.com) that I booked near the end of my trip. The view of the city is nicer though. The real bonus is that you have a true kitchen with cooking appliance and fridge. This allows you to buy groceries in a nearby supermarket instead,... More

For a dormitory, this is obviously a first class dormitory. Friendly staff and very good bed with private facilities, TV and everything a traveller could want. Location was OK. Fairly safe area from what I could see. Would I stay there again? Most definitely.

Pro: The location was great, the rooms were spacious. We have a fridge in the rooms (great for milk, yogurt, cheese, baby food, etc.). The staff was very nice and the breakfast included in the price of the rooms was decent. There was internet available and a laundromat for guests to use. There was a supermarket in the level below... I stayed at the NRH for the first time this year with a bunch of other corner workers at the Canadian Grand Prix. No complaints, check in was easy, there was the parking garage 2 floors underneath with indoor access and a mall one floor underground with a Dollarama and a Metro grocery store. Front desk staff was very friendly... More

Based on the pictures on the web site, other reviews, and the recommendation of my conference's organizers, I expected more. In all honesty, it was rather disappointing. The first room is was assigned had items from the previous guest in the refrigerator and there was trash in the bureau. The furniture in the room was mismatched and low grade. The... More

We often stay at university residences when we travel in the summer. I have to say McGill New Residence Hall has probably been one of our best experiences. The members of the staff were friendly and the place seemed quite well-managed. Our room was just like any standard room at a decent hotel. The housekeeping staff did a great job... More

We were looking for accommodations in a good location, but for a reasonable price for the weekend in Montreal. This was the perfect place. Location - walking distance to the core of downtown. Saved us from driving and having to look for parking downtown Rooms - older, but spacious and had everything we needed. It included breakfast in their cafeteria,... More
