Remember, you get what you pay for. Very inexpensive stay and spacious. The owner was very nice and attentive to the loud neighbors during our stay. The place is old and smoke travels from other rooms. It was a place for us to rest our heads. Location was great and free parking. Do not stay here if you need super... More

I've never ever been in such a filthy hotel before. Very old, super dirty, noise coming from everywhere, smoke smells all over the place! I couldn't even trust their towels. ... so I ended up leaving without even taking a shower! I've been to hostels and motels before but nothing can be compared to this. ..... The location is great... Location is excellent; many attractions are within walking distance, the metro is nearby, and there is a supermarket and a 24hr convenience store across the road. A plus is free parking. However the hotel is old, tired, and rundown. Same for the room decor and furniture. The owners need to pay more attention to cleanliness. The entranceway smells musty and... More

Cheap rooms. I found a two bugs in my room and ended up with two big bug bites. The place seemed clean but I woke up with huge bites on my back and arms. The showers were falling apart. The continental breakfast was okay. A lot of store bought stuff and tasted day old. We didn't want to go back... More

OK - it was dirt cheap, and a great location for my visit. Those were the positives (afterall, I am a positive person). If you had to do a parody of a bad hotel experience (from every possible perspective), this place would fit the bill , and then some! The other reviewers have identified the issues, they are all true.... More

That's the better words that describes such a place... We being at this so bad called "hotel" and to start, the front door was full of pieces of papers with handwriting notes and the entrance was blocked with cleaning instruments... Our first reaction was thinking that we was at the wrong place, but no... there was a woman there that... More

Do not stay in this hotel. My sister and I were there for no more than 2 hours before we grabbed our stuff and found another place to stay. The room was shabby and unclean. At 4pm, some person (not an animal) was howling out in the hallway. Can't imagine what it would be like at night. When we told... More

Our experience at this hotel was so bad that we didn't even finish our 1-night stay at the place... We had the luck of being given the room right next to the so-called manager's office... when we came back to our hotel that night, this 'manager' was visibly drunk (carrying around a half-empty bottle of alcohol in his hand) and... I've been traveling all around Europe but this is by far the worst "hotel" I have ever had the burden of dealing with. This is a warning for all travellers but ESPECIALLY young women - STAY AWAY from this place. The "manager" or whatever he likes to call himself should be arrested. He continued to let himself into our room... More

Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theaters, and exhibition centers are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
