My girlfriend and I checked in yesterday and took the elevator to the 5th floor (my girlfriend got stuck between the doors). We had to walk up with our suitcases for the 6th and found out that our room (610) was anything but good. Offcourse we didn't expect a lot of this room for the price we paid, but this... More

My daughter was booked to do a show in town which was located just around the corner so I chose this hotel. We couldn't get a better location for our needs, it was perfect. I also chose it because it had 2 beds and the price was well within my budget. The people running the place were wonderful, friendly, and... More

Worst hotel I've ever stayed it, hands down. The hotel is filthy and dilapidated. The 25 year old television in our room was electrical-taped at the corner; no doubt from some domestic confrontation; also, the cable TV didn't work, unless you like watching snow. Our window blinds were installed crooked; when we attempted to open the blinds, they fell to... More

You can get better for the same price. Showers not cleaned, no toilet paper. Quite noisy. Pas terrible, même à ce prix-là on s'attend à mieux. Les salles de bain n'étaient pas propres, absence de papier de toilette. Les murs sont en carton.

Not a bad place to keep your stuff while sight seeing and other such. Location was pretty central to where we needed to be (one of the determining factors), and the price was pretty excellent ($150 for 2 nights and 3 days). I stayed in room 207 (top of the stairs). The neighborhood was a bit on the "sketchy" side,... More

Awful. Absolutely awful, last month the room we stayed in was for 4 people. All of a sudden we get there and it is for 2 people. No notice, nothing at all. We get upstairs and the worker creepily knocks on the door and yells at us for the amount even though there was 1 person who was grabbing her... More

We've been coming to Montreal since the 1970s. in those days I stayed at the Y on Drummond St. the Hotel Villa is a lot like that: don't expect amenities but you'll get a clean, comfortable room, very courteous staff, at the right price. The neighbourhood gets better every year. Although there are still a few seedy storefronts there are... More

This hotel is great if you want visit Montreal and are on a tight budget. We spent two nights at the hotel Villa. It is very well situated on Sainte-Catherine Street and is easily accessible on foot, either from the greyhound bus station (on Berrie Street) or from the many metro stations. This is by far the best advantage of... More

Yes, this is an incredible location for a relatively good price, and the bed and room were even clean. We were okay within the room itself. However, the hallways were disgusting, covered in dust as if they hadn't been vacuumed in years, and more importantly, we did not see one fire extinguisher or fire alarm that appeared to be up...
