The place doesn't look good (especially when arriving from the Guy l'Allier metro stop), but it's very well located (less than 5 minutes away from Ste Catherine street aka THE shopping street). The place is decent fro a budget hotel. However corridors are narrow and there is no elevator! The room we had was fine but pretty small and not... More

The room was fine, nothing special. Continental breakfast included. Free Wifi. Near the Bell Centre. 747 Bus stop from the airport was half block away. V.ery convenient if going to an event at the Bell Centre. Shopping only 5 minutes away

So if you want an elevator and a roof top pool, stay somewhere else. If you want value in a place that is close to the action and you don't care about smallish rooms then this place may be for you. We had a comfortable stay. Scott the manager was very nice and very helpful. I would recommend this for... More

entrance to the hotel left me wondering if this place was even operational. Extremely dated building that seemed to be falling apart. after entering it was a little more modern. After waiting to be checked in because the front desk where eating lunch and after seeing three different people help me we had to climb two flights of very steep... More

Very expensive for a very poor room. Noisy and poorly appointed. We had three persons in the room only towels for 2. Paid over $400 including taxes for this. Area is just outside of main downtown area. Desk clerk was friendly which helped. Would have been acceptible if not so expensive

I Stayed at A2K Hotel for two nights on 1st and 2nd of August 2015 and wish that I never have. The service there is very bad. They did not have an iron in the room so I had to call for one with the ironing board. I was told when finished with them to leave it outside the room... More

The only thing going for this Hotel was its location. It is a three floor fire-trap with no elevators. It is a very old building which has been made into a Hotel. The room we had was on the 2nd floor. It was like a maze to get there. The room itself was clean however we did kill 4 small... More

To be honest, before arriving I was worried due to all the reviews! Sure the hotel isnt 5 star but its really not that bad! The staff were extremely accomodating as soon as we got there, as we ran into some problem checking in. Its a good hotel for its cheap price! It is in a good location, central to... More

Incompetent staff: they had to be told repeatedly to complete tasks that they should have completed before I arrived, and even after being told repeatedly they still failed to complete them. For example, the room had not been cleaned or the toiletries and towels restocked - after telling the staff at least three times the task was almost completed. When... More

Absolute dump. Dirty, smelly, grimy towels, used bar and hair in shower, garbage not emptied, rude, indifferent staff. Room faced onto Rene Levesque, so noise from revelers and other guests kept me up until 4 am. Highlight was hotel staff pounding on every door at 11:45 am reminding people that they must vacate the room at noon. Really an overpriced... More

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighborhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
