Room was clean, bathtub had jets, fridge in room, decent cable TV, free WIFI (a little intermittent), patio door well insulated (was -20C outside, didn't feel any draft), close to central bus station and Metro. Main drain was in wall by the door, could hear water running 24-7, mattress was very hard, single ply toilet paper, hotel front door locks... More

This place is quite close to the subway and St Catherine Street is just around the corner. It is a decent budget hotel by that I mean the room was clean, sheets were clean and with a basic breakfast included it was not bad for the price. The staff were very friendly. However, the rooms were not as sound proof... More

I surprised my best friend for her birthday by bringing her on a last minute trip to Montreal! They were able to book me with little to no notice. This isn't a luxury hotel but was a great option for what we were looking for- a place to sleep that was fairly closer to everything that wouldn't break budget. The... More

The location is 3-5 min walks from Berri-Uqam station. ( if u know how to get thru exit door). Very friendly and straight-forward family business running hotel. Tends to have smokers in the hotel. Encounter several days of overwhelming smoke smell in our bedroom. Like the simple breakfast, it did helps saving time. Self serve with croissant, muffins, tea and... More

Very thin walls, you can hear everything. The lobby has a weird smell. It was cleanish but needs a good scrub. Some staff is nice, others not so much. Hood location though close to the subway and a good walk to the old city.

The room was dirty. Cheap perfume on top of stale, rancid air. Long hairs, pubic hairs everywhere. I accidentally dropped one of the pillows on the floor in the middle of the night, picked it up and it was filthy. The bathtub plug was a toilet flapper. There was a slippery film all over the bathroom foor. I had to... More

We booked this hotel on hotwire for $57 per night. We stayed for Comiccon, and it was very close to our destination. Basically, we booked this as a place to sleep, not a place to hang out and it was fine for that. It's clean, although everything is very run down so it's as clean as a tub with cigarette... More

I was given room 208 which was excellent in cleanness, size and supplies. The hotel has a huge elevator which is convenient for groups or disabled people. I enjoyed my stay here and would recommend this hotel. Price is excellent.

Just That. They are classified as to stars but they should be 3. I hosted at the third floor but finally i discovered that the wifi worked with the one of the second floor. I suggest you should have at least one computer for guests. The guy in the front desk was really helpful cause he lent me the reception... More

Staying in The Village (Gay Village)

Neighborhood Profile
The Village (Gay Village)
The rainbow pillars of Beaudry Métro Station shepherd the way into to The Village, one of the largest hubs for gay and lesbian culture in North America. With an open layout and a congenial aura, the refurbished buildings along Rue Sainte-Catherine pay a special homage to menswear and to caffeine, with showrooms and cafes. By morning, the antiquing gems along Amherst Street are packed with collectors. An incredible party spot, The Village comes alive at night, when clubs, bars, and dance halls open their doors and the revelry is high, epitomized by the fanciful trimmings of the apropos Oscar Wilde building. From May to September, the area closes to automotive traffic, allowing restaurant terraces to pour onto the streets, creating a dynamic sense of community. Les Boules Roses, thousands of pink baubles, are hung to welcome in the festivals and celebrations, including Montréal en Arts, Divers-Cité, and the Pride Parade.
