Excellent on all apsects. I highly recommend this place. Luc, Robert and Paul are really nice people. Even Giai (a large Labradoodle) is really cute! The place is very clean, spacious and has everything you need. I'm going back during warmer months so that I can take advantage of the back yard and hot tub. Located in the heart of... More

After a 9 hour harrowing drive up to Montreal in ice, sleet and snow, it was so comforting to be greeted at the door by Robert, one of the owners. I knew then that we could just relax and make this place home for a few days. Robert was the most gracious host. His warm smile and quiet charm made... More

This B&B was the first one I saw on Trip Advisor and it had such a high rating I figured what the hell and booked it. I was not disappointed!! Robert, Luc and chef Paul made my stay so enjoyable and relaxing. Like everyone else has said, the breakfast was fantastic. So much food!! Always great conversations with the boys... More

What a pleasant memorable experience! We had one of the larger rooms with a private bath. The room was very clean, tastefully decorated with exceptional attention to detail. Location was downstairs at the front of the house but surprisingly quiet - never heard any street noise. Bed was comfortable. We had a small fridge and microwave in the room which... More

Luc welcomed us at ten o'clock in the evening and helped us carry our luggages. His quiet hospitality became even more evident at daily sumptuous breakfasts. When we requested an additional night, he accommodated us in a room even better than the front room with own modern bathroom (artistic stone flooring and walls). The personal attention of Luc in this... More

I can’t imagine a more perfect place. Our hosts, Robert and Luc, were just wonderful. They were friendly and helpful and we enjoyed engaging with them. The food was outstanding; each morning there were fresh (warm!) croissants with a large selection of jams, homemade by Robert and Luc. The breakfasts alternated by the day – one day sweet, one day... I wanted to stay in the center of town, but not in a $250 room. Then I found the listing for Maison des Jardins. The price is low, the photos looked great, and it turned out to be all I could hope for. My room was well-decorated, clean, quiet and comfortable. It had a shared bath across the hall, which... My husband and I have stayed here four times, and this is our first choice when visiting the wonderful city of Montreal. Staying in The Village (Gay Village)

Neighborhood Profile
The Village (Gay Village)
The rainbow pillars of Beaudry Métro Station shepherd the way into to The Village, one of the largest hubs for gay and lesbian culture in North America. With an open layout and a congenial aura, the refurbished buildings along Rue Sainte-Catherine pay a special homage to menswear and to caffeine, with showrooms and cafes. By morning, the antiquing gems along Amherst Street are packed with collectors. An incredible party spot, The Village comes alive at night, when clubs, bars, and dance halls open their doors and the revelry is high, epitomized by the fanciful trimmings of the apropos Oscar Wilde building. From May to September, the area closes to automotive traffic, allowing restaurant terraces to pour onto the streets, creating a dynamic sense of community. Les Boules Roses, thousands of pink baubles, are hung to welcome in the festivals and celebrations, including Montréal en Arts, Divers-Cité, and the Pride Parade.
