I stayed here one night last week and it is ideally located for getting around Montreal, walking distance to just about everywhere. Rooms are modern with very fast wifi and all the comforts you need, they are nicer than you would imagine when coming in to the hotel from outside. Note that the street is busy with lots of restaurants... More

Everyone talks about Albert, and now I know why.. we were greeted with the warmest smile since my Grandma was on the planet! We asked him a million questions since we had never been to Montreal, and he never rushed us or lost his smile. We took his advice on EVERY single turn and we were never disappointed. He directed... Fairly easy to find this hotel on a very busy people packed street. The owner directed us to underground parking just around the corner from the hotel. This worked great for us as we never drove in Montreal, just left the car in parking spot for 24 hours and walked everywhere. The location is fabulous for walking. We went to... More

What a great find this hotel was for our three night stay in beautiful Montreal. Right in the heart of the Latin quarter within easy walking distance to Mont Royal, Le Plateau, the old town and the port. We had a suite on the third floor which consisted of a bedroom, sitting room and small balcony overlooking a bustling street... More

Chic and cute, the pleasant owner was there to greet us and direct us to the handy indoor Parking at the St Denis theatre directly across the street. The room is clean, nicely decorated quiet and absolutely suitable if you're looking for a place to attend the theatre and enjoy the many restaurants only steps away.

I stayed there for three nights on a trip to Montreal. The area is nice, full of restaurants, in a walking distance to Old Montreal, and with great accessibility to metro (just around the corner!). Parking is available, although it took me some time to find it. The staff was really helpful and kind on the phone, and there were... More

Overall this was a nice stay in a small boutique hotel in the Latin Quarter of Montreal. Great for nightlife and within walking distance of Old Montreal and other neighborhoods/sites. It is also very close to the metro so it's accessible. Pros: -Easily accessible -Discounted parking available in the garage across the street ($15/day + tax) -Nespresso machine -Modern, updated... Fantastic hotel in wonderfully vibrant Rue St.Denis. The day we arrived, there was a street festival and many more followed during our stay. The rooms were clean and Albert was generously helpful with his time and suggestions for places to go, see, do and eat. He's recommendations were always dead on, especially the bakery suggestion. The entire staff is lovely.... More

This is a lovely small hotel in the throbbing heart of Rue St. Denis. If you want vibrant night life, walk out the door and turn left or right and there it is. The hotel itself is a classic Montreal walk up. The rooms are a tad small but very well done, and given the street scene outside, quite quiet,... More

Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theaters, and exhibition centers are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
