They don't have a laundry but provide a laundry service (CA$11,50/bucket). Stayed in an ensuite room of 8 beds, they clean the bathroom once a day, the lockers had a good size and are provided to all guests. They provide coffee/tea for free all day and the breakfast has croissant, muffin, waffle and orange juice. The staffs are friendly and... More

We absolutely loved staying at Montreal Central. Our room was super clean and comfortable and the breakfasts each morning gave us the energy to have a jam packed day. The location is fantastic, in walking distance to all the major sites and places to explore. Really friendly vibe, would recommend to all our friends and family!

I was pleased with my single private room in this hostel/hotel, which is located nicely in downtown with ease of access to most of the city by public or private transport. There is a small market across the street with little bits of whatever you might need, with a larger proper market just a few blocks away. Room was clean,... More

I'd describe Montreal Central as a higher-end hostel - with good facilities and comfortable rooms. I stayed in an en-suite single room, which was warm, well equipped and clean. The hostel came with a good (if carb-heavy) breakfast, and the staff were helpful and provided me with directions to various parts of the town. There is a large common room... More

It's a good location, with friendly staff and a great atmosphere. The room was a bit small but I guess considering the price this was fair. We booked a double room with private en-suite but its not exactly private... there's no wall between the bedroom and bathroom areas, just a small counter. This wasn't mentioned to us before so was... This is the nicest hostel I've stayed in and would definitely stay again. It's in a great central location and there's 24 hour garage parking a 2 min walk away that's cheap as well. Staff were very friendly, rooms and the whole hostel in general were very clean. Free breakfast everyday---very carb-centric, toast, croissants, etc. There were hard boiled eggs... More

The good thing about this Hostel was the shots for 3 bucks. I only stayed here a short time. But while I was there I had people doing drugs right outside my window. I was scared to go out when I did I made sure I was back about 9 and just went to bed. The staff were friendly and... More

Hi, we have stayed one night in this hotel. Actually this is not a hotel, it's a hostel. The shared spaces like the livingroom are very new and comfortable but the rooms and their furniture are very old. The best point is its location. Breakfast is a little small, you only have few options and all frozen products.

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighborhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
