What an amazing little bed and breakfast in the Quartier Latin neighrbourhood of Montreal. My wife and I wanted to get away for a few days and we booked the budget room the day of. I must say the room was super clean and the general charm of the neighbourhood really dazzled us! It's also walking distance from Chinatown, Vieu... More

To begin, the hotel was extremely close to the central bus station, coming from the airport, and is a very central location to downtown Montreal. When I checked in I found to my surprise I'd been upgraded free of charge. Very pleasant. Nice clean bedroom with kitchen facilities, great bathroom facilities. Inclusive breakfast was great (continental). Helpful polite staff.

What a wild find, a place run by a woman and her daughter from Mexico City, on the traditionally very French heart of the Montreal cultural scene. My room - a two bedroom interesting angled place with high technology screens for tvs, halogen lights, and of course Mexican art on the walls, immediately put me in a different place than... More

Stayed here during low season so everything was nice and quiet. Friendly, kind, and helpful staff. Nice clean rooms. Close to downtown, library, restaurants/bars, and the Metro and bus station. Cons: Bathroom fixtures could use some repairs; also please consider providing small washcloths. Had a loud neighbor for a couple nights so a more strictly enforced courtesy policy would be... More

We chose this hotel because of its proximity to the Metropolis. It is hard to pick out on St. Denis and parking is only available at the public library a few blocks away. Check in was easy, the folks at the front desk were very friendly and welcoming. The room was VERY small but clean and met all our needs.... More

We stayed at Espace Confort for one night and I am glad we didn't stay longer. We chose to stay at this hotel after reading all the positive reviews but we were quite disappointed. Pros: - The location (downtown, near the subway station and many restaurants) - The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. - The room is well... More

We stayed for a full week and had an overall great experience. The hotel was a wonderful deal for the price we paid. The location is excellent with dozens of restaurants of all types in easy walking distance since this area is near the Universite de Quebec a Montreal. We had a room with shared bath that was large enough... More

We have been here a few times and it is very good quality for the price. The rooms are modern and clean. The room is small but well equipped with a bar fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee maker and LED TV. The bed is a double size and very firm. The only negative point is that you will hear people walking... More

This hotel is close to the bus station and subway. It is convenient if you are coming from or going to the airport as the bus station for the airport shuttle is a short walk away. It is located on a great street with restaurants, shops and cafes. The rooms are modern and clean. Breakfast is included but our room... More

I shopped around for a room in Montréal for a few days, checking out the comments on Tripadvisor and Booking, before settling on this one. We booked 2 nights, to see family, visit houses around Montréal and enjoy the big city. We were quite happy with our choice. The welcome was nice and the young lady at the reception upgraded... Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theaters, and exhibition centers are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
