The good: Staff (friendly and helpful), location (surrounded by restaurants, nor far from old town and port etc), restaurant (refer separate review), room amenities. The not so good: fire escape balcony where neighbours sat immediately outside our room window so most of the time in our room we had to have the curtains closed and as a result the room... More

We were so pleased with our stay at hotel Kutuma. Friendly staff. We used the valet parking. Nice room with African theme. Large bathroom. Our room had a comfortable king size bed, kitchenette with refrigerator and coffee machine, sofa and writing desk. No wall-to-wall carpet that makes the room feel cleaner which I really like! The hotel is perfectly situated... More

The jacuzzi was amazing hard to fit two 5'9-6 feet people but it was still amazing went in it 5 times in 2 days. Staff was so nice! Matches didn't really work though. 1-2 minutes from a corner store,5 minutes or less from the subway.

This hotel was a real find! The rooms are decorated in African animal theme. The amount of details in the furnishings they had was crazy. Very well done. The bathroom was huge with a giant jetted double tub in the middle of it. Everything was exceptionally clean. The staff was helpful and friendly. The rates were great considering that normally... This hotel served all of our needs perfectly & at a great price. We loved the sliding doors out to the little terrace that allowed in beautiful light but also when closed created total blackout which was great for sleep-in vacation mode. Bathrooms was surprising large w/a giant double tub. It was warm when we visited & the AC w/remote... More

This little hotel is situated less than half an hours walk from Old Montreal and close to streets packed with nice places to eat and drink. Trendy streets full of shops and cafes run off the road it sits on. We found a great bar with live music a stones throw away across the road and a boulangerrie right next... More

We only stayed here a night and it was very pleasant. The staff was attentive, knowledgable, and friendly. If they didn't know the answer to something, they would research for us. The hotel front looks like a storefront but don't let that discourage you from booking. By not having too much to manage outside of the rooms, it seems the... More

Wonderful experience. Stayed for one night and the service was excellent and the staff were very friendly and attentive. Rooms very immaculate and clean, we had a room with a tiny kitchenette which had everything if you really wanted to make a meal, great bathroom with everything. Lovely and decorated very tastefully, beds very comfortable. Close to the Plateau area... More

Very elegantly decorated rooms. Kitchenette in the room and a jacuzzi in the bathroom. Not the quietest room I've ever had but far from the noisiest. Very helpful hotel staff. The boulangerie next door to the hotel is amazing, go there. The hotel does not have an elevator but fear not, they ha e concierge service free of charge! WiFi... More

We stayed for a long weekend for rest and relaxation and our room at Hotel Kutuma provided exactly what we needed and wanted. Their attention to detail is wonderful. Our room had a separate bathroom with a juccuzi. The bed was so comfortable and the entire room was quite spacious and clean! We found this was a great location for... More

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighborhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colorful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
