We recently visited Montreal and stayed at the University Bed and Breakfast and were allocated the Greystone Suite. Located on a quiet street, the B&B is just a stone's throw away from McGill University and close to the city center. The room was quiet and the beds very comfy. Breakfast was very good. One little downsize to take into account:... More

my first time to montreal and my wife had looked on trip advisor and found this great little bed and breakfast because of the ratings. It lives up to the ratings 100%. very friendly staff, especially owners girlfriend who cooked breakfast both days and helped with parking. great location near universities. would stay here again. stayed in queen room for... This inn definitely added to our great stay in Montreal! We stayed in the Greystone suite, which was perfect for us; we have a 1 year old with us, and it was plenty big for him to crawl around... plus we could put him to bed while we had some spirits! Having a fridge, stove & coffee was great, and... More

My wife and I visiting visited Montreal recently and wanted to explore the city. This B&B was the perfect spot to do just that. We were able to walk to so many areas of the city. The B&B itself was equally wonderful. The staff were all so friendly and accommodating. Loved the whole experience.

The staff at UBB are very friendly and helpful. They are eager to help you make the best of your stay. The space is warm and inviting and made me feel welcome. Staying here at the end of my trip, I came away thinking "why didn't I stay in B&Bs the whole time?" This was a much better value than... More

Stayed here while visiting Montreal for the Formula 1 Race. Beautiful wee B&B located in a quiet area next to McGill University. Rooms were nice and quiet. Breakfast was great and they were able to provide us with gluten-free toast too, an extra bonus. The B&B was only a 5 minute walk to the metro station and 1 block from... More

We've stayed here many times when visiting our daughter at McGill University. It is an incredibly charming bed and breakfast and is practically on campus. Breakfast is great--local bagels, croissants, fruit, yogurt, cereal-- and the rooms are compact, but well-furnished and pleasant. You can usually find on-street parking. I can sometimes find less expensive accommodations in the area, but few... More

A great B&B. Staff are always considerate, friendly, and helpful. Location can not be beat, close to Concordia and McGill, Mtl. General Hospital, etc. Having stayed a few times now, always in a different room, we have been impressed with the uniqueness of each of the rooms. Further, accommodations are comfortable and clean, and the exposed brick walls add to... More

This was a very convenient and comfortable place (home away from home) while visiting my daughter at McGill. I've previously stayed at two nearby hotels and will now stay here every time. Loved the Greystone suite!

Hi BLandBH! Thank you for your kind review! We loved having you and please come back again soon. We strive to have that "home away from home" feel which is exactly why we included a kitchenette in all our suites, so I'm so happy to see that you felt that way while here :) We're introducing a new promotion for... As others have said ...friendly & helpful staff, comfortable and down to earth with nice rooms to choose from and great firm beds. We stayed in the Brick Room last April when we were picking up our son from Concordia. Nice and very spacious with a decent size bathroom on the first floor at the front of the house. This... More

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighborhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colorful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
