When traveling to an unfamiliar city, it is always my hope to first find someone who welcomes me there. In Montreal, it was Natalie who rolled out the red carpet and threw open the doors! Even though she had other business to attend at the time, Natalie went with us to our car to help us find a legal parking... More

We could not have been more pleased with our stay! This was our first trip to Montreal, and Robert and Natalie were wonderful, gracious hosts--sharing all sorts of interesting information about their city with us and helping us make the most of our time in Montreal. Our room was lovely, the breakfasts were delicious and artfully presented, the location was... More

Robert's twinkling smile and warm welcome inspired us. He upgraded our room to include a private bath at same price. Built in 1863, this B&B has all the amenities cleverly crafted in. Natalie cooks daily changing INCREDIBLE BREAKFASTS! We met the nicest travelers each morning. You really feel at home here. Make it your regular stay if you visit Montreal!

My partner and I have visited Montreal three times over the past five years, and each time we have stayed with Nathalie & Robert. The quiet charm of their townhouse, tucked away in a back street yet a short walk from the Berri/UQAM metro stop in one direction and the beautiful Parc La Fontaine in another, is one of the... Nathalie and Robert are lovely hosts and I can't say enough about Nathalie's amazing breakfasts! The marriage of flavours she creates are delicious, bread puddings, an amazing fratata with a hot sauce and a clafoutis with a cardamom syrup! The jams were incredible, I bought 5 jars to take home. The room my daughter and I had was lovely, first... More

A wonderful experience! Natalie and Robert provide a very warm, welcoming and clean home for your Montreal stay. This is a very special place in a great central location. You can experience all of the different parts of the city quite easily from here. Natalie prepares wonderful breakfasts each morning. She is happy to provide "concierge" services ie restaurant and... We stayed a few days at Nathalie & Roberts B&B in Montreal - just over the F1 race weekend. They have a very nice little House which is located very convenient to the Metro Station Berri UQuam. Due to their kind hospitality, the wonderful breakfast ( a 5 Star hotel could not do better) and the pleasant atmosphere there, we... More

My friends and I went to Montreal for a two nights and three day road trip. Location: This is a perfect location for us. There is free parking on the street. Robert used his car to save a parking spot for us, so we don't have drive around looking for parking. Once we settled in, we were able to walk... More

This charming B&B deserves all the accolades you read here. Natalie and Robert are keeping up the great service and the fabulous breakfasts. The location is terrific; walking distance to many local restaurants and fun neighborhoods. The metro is just down the block. Natalie is a great cook and a real foodie. She steered us to some fantastic local restaurants... More

Staying in The Village (Gay Village)

Neighborhood Profile
The Village (Gay Village)
The rainbow pillars of Beaudry Métro Station shepherd the way into to The Village, one of the largest hubs for gay and lesbian culture in North America. With an open layout and a congenial aura, the refurbished buildings along Rue Sainte-Catherine pay a special homage to menswear and to caffeine, with showrooms and cafes. By morning, the antiquing gems along Amherst Street are packed with collectors. An incredible party spot, The Village comes alive at night, when clubs, bars, and dance halls open their doors and the revelry is high, epitomized by the fanciful trimmings of the apropos Oscar Wilde building. From May to September, the area closes to automotive traffic, allowing restaurant terraces to pour onto the streets, creating a dynamic sense of community. Les Boules Roses, thousands of pink baubles, are hung to welcome in the festivals and celebrations, including Montréal en Arts, Divers-Cité, and the Pride Parade.
