We visited this B&B during our North American tour last September. We were supposed to stay only one night on the way in but we ended up booking one more night on the way back. It is a cosy, lovely place in a quiet but central location, with all the required amenities, at a very decent price. If it was... More

Stay here was fantastic, room was clean, smelled fresh, organized, the small kitchenette really helped. The B&B staff (natalie and others) were very nice. Breakfast was excellent. Rooms were beautiful with antique elements, desks and chairs. We are picky travellers but simply had no complains.

Yes, you have to share the bathroom, but it is a great bed and breakfast and the breakfast part is truly delightful, home made. Stay here if you can. It is run by a couple and they communicate with you before you arrive.

Nathalie and Robert are the kindest and warmest persons you may find in Montreal. Breakfast is super good, healthy and fresh. Nathalie! your finger is doing magic. We had a wonderful time while staying in Montreal. The location is perfect; since you are enjoying a quiet place to rest, it is walking distance to crazy areas, old Montreal, art shop,... More

This is a great B&B and Is literally á"home from home" courtesy of Nathalie and Robert who were absolutely the most wonderful hosts that you could wish for. A friend and I stayed here during Osheaga and the location is perfect. Close to the metro, groceries, and anything else you might you need. Nathalie's breakfasts every morning are incredible to look at and eat. She is warm and welcoming and makes you feel completely at home. Definitely a fantastic place to stay.

My friend and I attended the Osheaga music festival and found Nathalie's place to stay at. Despite the hustle and bustle of the festival, we always had Nathalie's place to come back to at the end of the night. It felt like coming home. The BNB is situated on a narrow street that reminds you of the streets of Europe.... More

When traveling to an unfamiliar city, it is always my hope to first find someone who welcomes me there. In Montreal, it was Natalie who rolled out the red carpet and threw open the doors! Even though she had other business to attend at the time, Natalie went with us to our car to help us find a legal parking... More

We could not have been more pleased with our stay! This was our first trip to Montreal, and Robert and Natalie were wonderful, gracious hosts--sharing all sorts of interesting information about their city with us and helping us make the most of our time in Montreal. Our room was lovely, the breakfasts were delicious and artfully presented, the location was... More

Staying in The Village (Gay Village)

Neighborhood Profile
The Village (Gay Village)
The rainbow pillars of Beaudry Métro Station shepherd the way into to The Village, one of the largest hubs for gay and lesbian culture in North America. With an open layout and a congenial aura, the refurbished buildings along Rue Sainte-Catherine pay a special homage to menswear and to caffeine, with showrooms and cafes. By morning, the antiquing gems along Amherst Street are packed with collectors. An incredible party spot, The Village comes alive at night, when clubs, bars, and dance halls open their doors and the revelry is high, epitomized by the fanciful trimmings of the apropos Oscar Wilde building. From May to September, the area closes to automotive traffic, allowing restaurant terraces to pour onto the streets, creating a dynamic sense of community. Les Boules Roses, thousands of pink baubles, are hung to welcome in the festivals and celebrations, including Montréal en Arts, Divers-Cité, and the Pride Parade.
