The name says it all - it is very historic and very Victorian. The breakfast is tasty, with an assortment of breads and croissants, homemade jams, eggs, bagels, and coffee. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, furnished with large wooden Victorian bed frames, and other authentically antique furniture. The location can't be beat either!

Rue St. Denis, during festival season, can be a very exuberant place. Victorian Heritage stands as a quiet oasis in the midst of it. We couldn't believe how quiet the elegant rooms were. The outdoor terrace seemed a world away from the excitement outside. It's the best of both worlds. All of the Victorian rooms are grand and opulent. But... More

Four couples (our traveling group) spent two nights here after departing a cruise ship in Montreal. The building(s) are beautifully decorated and maintained in Victorian style, the proprietors take extreme pride in the operation, the breakfasts are wonderful and the rooms are comfortable. Two couples stayed in the main building rooms and the other two in the annex, one in... More

We stayed at this B&B for our honeymoon. Our flight was originally scheduled for later than the required check-in time, but we had emailed the innkeeper ahead of time and he was very accommodating. The flight arrived much later than it was supposed to due to a control tower issue, so we had to wake up the innkeeper up at... More

Stayed there for 4 nights last week. Reviews of this B&B are extremely positive and we are definitely confirming them. In fact, the place is even better than it looks on photos. I heartily recommend it. In tune with its uniquely preserved Victorian atmosphere: "Thou shall not be disappointed..." Chantal and Vic

Stayed in a 2nd floor suite with huge rooms, kitchen, 2 bathrooms, 1 with washer & dryer. The comfortable beds, high ceilings, window shutters and brick walls gave the feeling of a house within a house. Lots of stairs but enjoyed the exercise. Loved walking next door for breakfast and chatting with other guests. Denis and Michel were great hosts... More

The Victorian Heritage was easily accessible from the airport. We were going to take a cab, but the local bus was parked right outside the exit of the airport. A quick bus ride to the end of the blue line put us about a half block away. The location was great. It was within walking distance of Old Town and... More

I stayed at this hotel with my wife for three nights. Our room was on the 3rd floor which has three individual rooms. The room was not so spacious for two of us, but the furniture and room itself were quaint, which made us comfortable and relaxed. The dining room also had a good atmosphere and we spent the breakfast... More

This was a beautiful house with a rich history (which the host is enthusiastic to discuss). My room, one of the dormers, was very comfortable and quiet. The breakfasts were all delicious, varied, and gourmet.

No wonder this B&B is so highly rated. It really is a gem located in the Latin quarter and right next to Rue St. Denis providing a good choice of restaurants, the one directly across the road being worth a visit. Denis is a great host as are his helpful staff. Breakfast, with very good food, can either be around... More

Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theaters, and exhibition centers are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
