Believe it or not, the YWCA is a pretty solid place to stay in Montreal. Our room had its own bathroom (a lot of the rooms don't, and share one WC), and it was maybe a step up from a nice dorm room. We stayed in the hotel part; the floor below us was a hostel, and I think the... More

Second time staying here - very good for families and groups of friends! Clean , shared kitchen and laundry available and all for a good cause. Location is really good as well. Nice and clean building, good security.

YWCA is wonderful. I got a private room and it was clean, has its own TV, fridge and sink. The showers are well-structured with space to get dry and dressed and a new towel available for each stall. Staff is very helpful and welcoming. He gave me maps, guide infos and lots of recommendations of restaurants and hang out places... More

First of all, if you book via Booking.com be aware of the fact that what this site advertises as Hotel Y Montreal is composed of two different facilities in the same building : the actual hotel and a sort of hostel (called Residence/auberge).This review is about the hostel part. To sleep there will do for a couple of days (longer... More

Loved the Y, great location and convenient. Its walking distance to restaurants and shops for everything that you need. It was a 15 minute walk to my daily destination but enjoyed the walk. I stayed there for 1 whole month

For my first time in Montreal, I wanted to stay in a good hotel but at a relatively low price, as I am still a student. So I saw this hotel and read the reviews, pretty good reviews I have to tell. To be sure that I wasn't throwing $300 for three nights, I first sent a message to the customer... More

Good: Central location (although the Trip Advisor map is inaccurate which did cause us concern when it came to parking), friendly staff, clean room with a fridge. We stayed only one night and were travelling as a family of three having reserved a room with two double beds and an ensuite bath. $120 all in. It was close to many... More

Great little clean room at a great price ...except you won't be able to actually sleep there. Heavy room doors SLAM SHUT in their metal frame echoing down tiled hallway whenever another guest comes and goes. 2:00am and SLAM!! woken up. 4:30am SLAM! woken up.... better off in a hostel or spend another 40$ and stay in a real hotel.

I stayed at the Y for one week in July. I stayed at one of the single occupancy rooms with a shared bath. The room has a basin and a fridge. other facilities like laundry and a common kitchen are available but I did not use them. The room was clean and good for the price (about $60 taxes included).... Recently stayed here while in Montreal. Pros: Location is right in center of downtown Montreal, perfect for exploring all that Montreal has to offer. Price is right, very reasonable. Some rooms have fridges and there is a kitchen in the building to make a meal if you feel so inclined. Wifi signal is strong and good selection of TV channels too.... More
