The bottom line of this review is I am totally satisfied with my three night stay at Le Cartier. The location was perfect, close to all of Montreal's sights, one block from the Metro (subway), reasonably price (a real value) and a clean very comfortable room with a terrific patio garden. Our host, Richard, is wealth of useful and accurate... More

My partner and I stayed here with another couple for a long weekend in the 2-bedroom apartment. There are few pictures of the apartment on Le Cartier's website so we weren't sure what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised. The apartment was very comfortable and beautifully decorated with a small kitchenette (fridge, microwave and toaster oven). Breakfast breads (muffins, croissant,... My husband and I stayed at Le Cartier for three nights and it was wonderful! It is in a great location, very trendy, impeccably clean, had a great breakfast and the host was incredibly knowledgeable and really helped us plan our stay in Montreal. A bonus was the parking was free! We would definitely stay there again!

Basic overview: My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at Le Cartier. I read all the positive reviews (from a few sites) and even followed a suggestion to get an even better deal. Basically, it was the best price we could find, it was the most accommodating, and not your typical B&B. If you are interested you can read... More

We have just come back from Canada where we spent three lovely nights in this wonderful B&B. Arrival from the airport was easy. It took 45 minutes, we took the 747 bus from the airport and then the metro for 9 stops . The B&B is very close to all the main attractions in town, less than 1 minute walk... More

I will never stay anywhere else in Montreal again. This place was very clean, nicely furnished, and offered the little extras that make a big difference, like a book full of business cards with recommended restaurants, free wifi, free street parking, and a map "tour" of the area by the owner Richard, who is very gracious and helpful in all... My friends and I stayed at Le Cartier and had a fabulous experience. Our room with ensuite bathroom and shared kitchen was small but cozy, clean, quaint and private. The 2 double beds were comfortable enough, and the kitchen was stocked with fruit, pastries, juice and milk, and very clean. Richard and Scott were wonderfully friendly and gracious and take... More

My girlfriends and I had the pleasure of spending time at le cartier. We were in Montreal for 5 nights and had an exceptional stay here. Richard was amazing at telling us about the sights and restaurants available to see in the city. We went for some pretty excellent meals if you want to be a foodie on holidays! Everything... More

I was in Montreal for a longer tan expected trip, and after not being able to extend on the airbnb condo, found Richards B&B via hotel.com... Le Cartier was exactlywhat I needed for that week end. One block away from the metro, which leads you everywhere. 10 minutes from downtown, some fun neighbourhood restaurants (try the poutine at Lafayette) and... More

Our first time in Montreal and we were not disappointed with the city or the great B&B we stayed at - Le Cartier. Very conveniently located close to Papineau Metro station, and in a lively area with lots of good places to eat. Richard was a gold mine of suggestions and recommendations and his "little black book" of restaurants showed... More
