Great host, great room. Better than a hotel. It was our first experience at a B&B and I hope this sets the standard for all B&B's. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Le Cartier to friends and family. Many thanks. Jim & Ted Toronto more

This B&B is beautifully decorated and has all the amenities one could ever need in a "home away from home". The location is perfect ... close to Old Montreal and Chinatown for sightseeing, downtown for wonderful eclectic dining, the Palais des Congres for an IDF Conference and the Metro for travel all over the city. Richard and staff are delightful...... more

Le Cartier is right in the middle of the village, which makes it a great place to stay if you are into party. It`s also really close to the metro so can reach every spot within the city quick and easy. The place itself is really relaxed. Great and really helpfull host, cool guests (like me of course) and nice... more

There really is not a lot I can say other than I was thoroughly impressed! All the amenities of home. Great downtown location. Steps away from the gay Village, nightlife, shopping and subway. Very modern decorations. Comfy beds. Quiet and clean. I actually tried to find something that I didn't like. The only one thing I could find was that... more

My husband and I came to Montreal for about 5 days in July for a romantic and relaxing trip and we stayed at B&B Le Cartier. We couldn't have picked a better place. First of all the location is perfect. It was so close to everything and we walked, biked, and metro'd everywhere very easily. The property is great, we... more

My partner and I along w/ two good friends stayed at B&B Le Cartier during the Festival of Lights in Feb...Our second visit. We won't stay anywhere else in Montreal! Richard, the owner, is absolutely amazing. He's certainly uninhibited, saying whatever comes to mind, but an exceptionally gracious and informative host. He's done an amazing job renovating the rooms (My... more

I stayed at Le Cartier from 02 Jul thru 06 Jul 09 in one of the suites that included a private bathroom. The rooms are tastefully decorated and very clean. The two suites on my floor shared a very nice kitchen which included a coffee maker, hot water dispenser, croissants, cookies, cereal, milk, juice, yogurt, etc. Richard, the owner, takes... more

We stayed there for two nights. Everything worked perfectly: easy car parking on the street, good location near everything in a quiet street, very comfortable beds, good breakfast, beautiful garden. The service was efficient in all aspects since the internet reservation, to the check-out, not to mention the host and his team, always kind both in English and French. They... more

What a find! If you are not from a big city (we aren't), don't be disillusioned by the buildings right next to the street and cars parked all down the street. This is a wonderful B&B with one of the hardest working innkeepers that you will find anywhere. The suite with shared kitchen and breakfast provided was all one could... more
