We loved the location of this hotel because it is within walking distance of the Old Port as well as the Plateau area and downtown shopping. The hotel is very nice and has a trendy style of decor. We recommend making use of the complimentary car they offer to take you to where you need to go - simply reserve... More

Overpriced, Ill designed, small room, definitely not 4 stars as advertised. Had to shim adjoining door with cardboard to stop the rattling!! Thermostat kept us up most of the night with annoying ticking every two to three minutes. Would not lay our clean clothes on disgusting ironing board. Dirty shower, peeling paint everywhere, stains in carpet etc. etc. 1 star... More

We were back in Montreal for the Jazz Festival last month, and stayed at the Hotel 10 again. We again had a "5-star" experience. The rooms have been refreshed, and ours was very pleasant. But the difference maker for us has always been the staff. Everyone we met - bellhops, valets, front desk, waiters, maids - was very friendly and... More

Hotel seems clean, updated, and modern from inside. The outside does not look very attractive. The staff is helpful. Valet parking is CAD28 per day which is steep. There are a few spots on the Clark Street that you can park overnight till 9 am. Other metered spots are no parking between 7am to 9am which is not so convenient.... More

We stayed here with our kids (9, and 10) and due to the party atmosphere, I would't return as a family. Suitable for couples or single people. Many times there were large groups of people hanging out half drunk in the small lobby. There was smashed glass bottles around the entrance that remained there for 24 hours before we complained... Good price/friendly/quality hotel. The location was within walking distance to St Denis theater where we had tickets to see Grease musical. Close to restaurants, shopping and entertainment district. Their breakfast is really nice and the staff was helpful.

In Montreal for work, stayed 2 nights in May 2015. Fairly new, the Hotel 10 is conveniently located downtown Montreal. Easy access to the surrounding trendy eateries & bars. Very clean, good bedding, great & very welcoming staff. I would definitely recommend to stay there. Did not have a chance to use amenities. The only downside was the breakfast, not... More

I saw some critics regarding noise but i didn't happen to hear anything...I stayed there totally 5 nights and i had a really very good experience. We just walk in like the old way of booking a room.......they showed us 2 suites. We choose one and the manager gave us a good rebate and also decided to offer us complimentary breakfast. The hotel is in a good location, lots of bars and restaurants with in a walking distance. The suite was spacious and very clean. The... More

The rooms are very spacious. The staff are very nice and also very knowledgeable about the Montreal area. The decor is very modern but they kept some of the building's historic features which is really cooĺ. The beds are comfortable and the showers are great. Though it wasn't a problem for us, I think prior to booking there should be... More

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighborhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colorful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
